Sydney Penny is Out!

Sydney Penny (Julia Santos) has been let go in her role that she played from 1993-96 and then returned in 2005. Her exit will take play along with the reveal that Kathy (Alexa Gerasimovich), her ward, is really Kate who is Tad and Dixie's daughter.

Congratulations to
All My Children for its eight Daytime Emmy nominations that were announced on
The View. Unfortunately, only one was in an acting category, to-wit: David Canary for the dual role of Adam and Stuart Chandler. We’ll all be pulling for David to win his sixth Emmy, but many of the other actors and actresses also gave Emmy-worthy performances this year!
The 35th annual Daytime Creative Arts and Entertainment Emmy Awards will be held on Friday, June 13, 2008 in a single ceremony at Rose Hall at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York.

Makeover of Colby...again

Starting May 7, 2008, Colby will be played by newcomer, 25-year-old Brianne Moncrief, a graduate of Fordham University's performing-arts program. She has done some stage work and a spot on
The Sopranos.
If you'll remember, in 2006, they aged Colby from a very young child to a teenager was then played by Ambyr Childers. And now, Colby will grow up considerably...again.
Good luck to Ambyr and welcome Brianne!

The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Ne-Yo will be making a guest appearance in Pine Valley to perform his songs "Closer" and "Stop This World". The event? The second wedding of Angie and Jesse Hubbard set to air Wednesday and Thursday, May 21 and May 22, 2008! Word has it that, like most weddings in Pine Valley, this one will be far from going off without a hitch!
