Justin Bruening leaves AMC

Sad to report ABC has confirmed that Justin Bruening (Jamie Martin) has opted to leave when his contract expires next month. His real-life wife, Alexa Havins (Babe Carey Chandler), is signed through the fall of this year; speculation is that the couple will return to the West Coast when her contract is up. We wish them both much success and happiness in their lives and future endeavors.

No big deal - won’t miss him at ALL - Alexis is a much better actress. She has a great storyline.
Hope he doesn’t turn into another Mark Conselous - no job, but his wife is working constantly.

You don’t know much about Mark Consuelos by the comment you made about him…he has made several movies, regular on 2 tv shows at this moment!!! He does not live on Kelli’s money..have met them both pesonally!!! Jamie will be missed by lots of people!
I totally disagree with JEAB. Mark Consuelos works his butt off. Shows what you haven’t followed of his career! Justin has done a tremendous job portraying the role he was assigned, as does Alexa. I am so glad they met on the set of AMC and got married in real life! All the best to them both! I remember when I first saw them together on AMC and I told my husband that they would make a great real-life couple. I was stoked that it really happened! J and A, if you read this…thanks for all the great times and events. We had a blast knowing you! Hope to run into you out here in sunny southern California. Justin and Alexa, Mission Bay awaits you!

Cute couple. Wish them well. There are too many characters on AMC right now. Need to concentrate on the core group and not have so many youngsters with little life experience.

That was a very unfair thing to say about Mark Consuelos as above. He’s a good actor and successful as Kelli is, and their long and presumably happy marriage is testimony that they’re doing fine. As far as Alexis and Justin go, I wish they wouldn’t go. PERIOD. By the way, great week on AMC last week. Actually had me riveting.
Will miss Justin a bit, but Alexa the most. She has brought great substance and professionalism to her role. Don’t know what the “Valley” will be like without her.
As for the other two mentioned by most of you, don’t miss them, never liked them, and don’t care if I EVER hear their names again in my lifetime. Both suck as actors and she is totally annoying in everything she does these days!

Strange, but I was saying to someone just the other day that Di (Kelly) needs a storyline. Guess that isn’t in the cards for her and she will be missed. Best wishes to Kelly too.

i really really don’t want justin and alexis to leave all my children i was looking forward to them getting back together on all my children not for them to leave i heard about them leaving months ago but i was hopeing it was a rumor but i guess not it’s going to be very hard to watch all my children without them i grew to love watching them if they really have to leave i hope they come back i really don’t want them gone forever they can’t find no one else to replace you it won’t be them same i like watching babe the first day she came to pine valley and grew to like her more she makes me wish i had friend like her please you 2 don’t stay alway forever
Boy oh boy… been gone a couple weeks and I just can’t believe the news I’m hearing! Justin and Alexia have been an asset to AMC. I am sad to know that the talent on the show is soon to all be gone!! What will AMC do now???? I like to give them (AMC writers) a chance to write a good storyline, however, those days are long gone! Especially to see a great storyline! Now that is totally out of the question! {{sorry writers!}} The truth has to come out! The stories have just been so lame. I just don’t know how AMC will make it to the top again. Whatever happens, happens…as new untalented people will be hired on and the show will go down even more. I truly hate to say that, but it’s true. Now I do expect to hear feedback about the AMC bashing, but I’m sure the majority of you out there will agree with me. In any case, I just hope that Alexis and Justin do well in California!

Jamie & Di have not had good story lines, because they are leaving the show. AMC is trying to be low key on these 2 characters as they prepare for the exits. Jamie you are so handsome with a wonderful personality and incredible endless talent. Babe, I’ve watched you grow up on the show since the first day you arrived in the “valley”. I will miss both of you very much. I’m excited to see you in movies, TV Shows, etc…. You’re both going to big places in your careers. God Bless.

WOW, sorry to see Jamie the good ones leave the show. Di well her story line doesn’t really intrest me. And BABE? Alot is focused around her. Wish they would bring back Bianca, I really miss her. So many couples leave these soaps, and are never seen again. I think they are both great actors, but like the couple on port charles, I can’t remember there names, they are no where to be found. The only two that made it were Kelly and Marc. I think they are wrong to leave, but that is there preference

It’s messed up that justin will be leaving, but don’t see anything interesting happening with his character anytime soon, but I do wish they would reveal tads daughter before he goes. I also could care less if his wife leaves seeing how i never liked her character anyways.

I thought “Babe and Jamie” were great together and I, for one, will miss them. I know soap stars come and go…but they both did such a wonderful job. We’ll miss you Alexa and Justin!

i’ve watched amc for at least 40yrs. i haven’t really been tuned in since the orginal GREENLEE left hate the new greenlee. jamie and babe will be missed. if zack leaves i’ll be so over with this soap.too many kids not enough good story lines
All my children has turned into a croppy show anyway. Who bother to watch it. I hope that it will go next. Bunch of inexperience actors with no storyline.
I have been watching All My Children for 30 years. I do not watch any other soaps. I can’t believe they are letting Justin and Alexa leave! There’s been too much Kendall lately and we need them as a respite from her drama.
I am a life-long AMC fan, but I have been out of the loop and just found out that Justin is leaving the show!! I have waited so long for a good storyline for him - thought Julia might have been it!
Justin lights the screen up in a way that no other AMC member can do! We will miss you both!

I love both Justin and Alexa and I am devastated to here they are leaving. It will not be the same without them. Every time there is a couple like Justin and Alexa or Mark and Kelly viewers get so attached to them and then it never fails that they leave. Why can’t this soap keep these good actors and actresses. I was sad when they did not keep Brooke (Judith Barr)and equally sad about Justin and Alexis. The show is going in the wrong direction in my opinion….bring back some of the more mature characters!

I agree with others about the quality of the writing for All My Children. It’s my opinion that if the producers want to garner some awards like an Emmy perhaps, they should encourage the writers to raise the level of many of their characters wisdom and ethics. Most of the women are whiney complainers. I know from my own experience that a good portion of your audience comes from preteen girls. What kind of message are you giving them regarding courage, self esteem, selflessness and all the other virtues that one would want their daughter or granddaughter to have? Your writers are either men or very young women who do not know how to produce some really gutsy female characters as well as plotlines. You don’t have to cry constantly to show pathos or depth of feeling. You don’t have to yell all the time to show strength. When you figure that out, the awards will start coming. Well, that’s my opinion.

Can’t believe they are both leaving, always loved Jammie and Babe I was hoping they would get together again. I do not like the new Babe nor do I like the way she was introduced into the show, one minute Crystal is hugging Baba (Alexa) and the next moment there’s a different person there. They will both be missed but wish them only the best.
