Karen: Could this new alliance bring Kendall and Erica together? Alicia beautifully conveys the desire in Kendall’s eyes, the little girl still longing for her mother’s acceptance. I hope that Erica will be able to see that Kendall has grown up in so many ways, and form a new respect for her as a person.
I don’t even think Kendall is looking for warm fuzzies, only to be seen for who she is and what she can become.
Gloria: I almost got warm fuzzies when they were together…do you really think they will bond and it last? Wow! I thought I could see all the hurt melting away, but probably not. We have to have this conflict, don’t we?
Karen: I don’t know—after all these years, the conflict is getting rather old. I think it would be great to see them form a relationship.
Gloria: Part of Erica’s character (rape) is this storyline and I wonder if Erica’s soul has that in her…that would make her less shallow and more forgiving and I’m not sure we’d really want that, but maybe we would…
Karen: So Michael’s father didn’t think he was worthy of his time or attention, huh? Well, now we’re beginning to see What Makes Mikey Run!
Gloria: I told you we would someday soften our feelings about him…could he be a nice guy after all?
Karen: No! Not even now that we know about his brother’s death and his father’s treatment of him. You had it right all along, and I think you should stick with your first gut feeling!
Gloria: He is definitely one of those that you love to hate. I just wish violence and physical threats hadn’t been part of his “evil.” Although, Adam certainly wasn’t above physical threats, so I guess I can love to hate Michael, too, since I love to hate Adam.
Karen: Who do you think Erica’s secret ally is?
Gloria: My first thought was Michael’s dad, but how could that be?
Karen: I thought so, too, since we know he’s coming to town, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Gloria: I’m convinced David, Anna, and Leora have moved away from Pine Valley…I keep watching the other soaps just in case they moved to Llanview or Port Charles, so far they are still among the missing. Sigh.
Karen: It has been a while since we’ve seen them, hasn’t it? Wasn’t Leora going to have the surgery immediately?
Gloria: Anna did say she’d set up the appointment…I just get a bit annoyed when I don’t have storyline updates closer together. I think the impact of what happens changes for me if it takes more than a day or two.
