All My Children Daily Dish

From Gloria and Karen, for About.com

TODAY’S THOUGHTS:

Karen: Is it the Eurotrash look Jamie’s going for? Do you think his exit storyline will be Brooke and Tad taking their baby boy and checking him into a monastery? (That would be the male equivalent of “Get thee to a nunnery”, wouldn’t it?)

Gloria: Maybe he could go check on Laura for a while???

Karen: As much as I dislike the rape storyline, we are seeing stellar performances from those actors involved. Eden’s Bianca has been beautifully done; her haunted eyes as she confides in Maggie can’t be just scripted, and I am more impressed with this young woman’s talent with every scene. And, the pain for her friend in Maggie’s eyes also comes from deep within her portrayer. Kudos to both! (But I still prefer Maggie’s original hair color!) <grin>

Gloria: ITA! If I didn’t know better, I’d certainly believe the rape had really happened. Eden’s makeup is so perfect; the dark eyes, the red nose…and I really like Elizabeth Hendrickson and am happy they trusted her to expand on her character’s depth. (Now, on the superficial side—Eden’s hair looks great shorter and I’m so glad you agree about the highlights in Elizabeth’s hair—hope the right people read this! <grin>)

Karen: What a shame that Erica’s deception will keep everyone from becoming the fantastic family she’s promised! Jack should pack up all the “kids” and head to the South of France as planned!

Gloria: OR, they could get married and take Greenlee with them! <grin> Now that’s not likely to happen! Somehow, when I look back to the Erica of yesteryear, I can’t believe she’s so accepting of it all…it’s a whole new Erica—a selfless one that isn’t all about Erica (it feels so strange and I just keeping waiting for the real Erica Kane to step forward.). Do you really think Erica has finally matured? So very unlike Susan Lucci, her real-life portrayer, who definitely has her feet on the ground.
