Gloria: Well, I’m just going to wait to form an opinion…but my first impression is that he won’t be around very long. Sorry.
Karen: Just an opinion, or do you know something?
Gloria: No, I don’t know anything, but he doesn’t “do” anything for me at all. I see him as a con artist (a feeble attempt to replace Leo—in his most charismatic ways) and I don’t think it will work so he won’t be around very long—but I’d be okay about it if proven wrong. The simple solution to Leo’s departure is Ryan! Just put Ryan and Greenlee back together for a year and Leo will be forgotten (well, almost). Then, if they want to try Greenlee with someone new, it will be much easier and the fans will accept it more readily. Right now, it would be much easier to find Kendall a new guy than to replace Leo and it would be so easy to pair Greenlee back with Ryan—something I think would be welcomed by most fans. They have already started off on the wrong foot…again, my phone isn’t ringing off the hook asking for my opinion…I just can’t understand it! <grin> Now, if they would pair Juan Pablo with Liza, he might have a shot at acceptance. Off my soapbox…sorry to rant—I could also be ALL WET in my theory.
Karen: Is there any doubt of why Bianca ran to the bathroom at the sight of a morning muffin? This whole thing isn’t bad enough—now we’ve got morning sickness, too?
Gloria: I’m hoping that it was just a reaction to that huge muffin that she just couldn’t possibly think of eating…this is one time that I truly hope “they won’t go there.” (I know, I know, I’m just in denial.) I’m just not sure I could even get close to being in Michael’s redemption corner then if Bianca is pregnant…I’m hoping that William DeVry gets the opportunity to play his twin because this Michael character just can’t be saved anymore.
Karen: I agree Michael can’t be saved, but really do think William deVry will be around in some other persona. How creepy will that be for the Kane women?!?
Gloria: Well, you might have something there. They tried it on OLTL and just now gave up the second persona after killing off the first. Bottom line…is William DeVry’s days numbered?
TODAY’S THOUGHTS:
Karen: I can’t believe Jack had the nerve to suggest Erica may be using Bianca to get to him! Hello—what does he think Mary was doing with Greenlee???
Gloria: This whole Jack thing is ridiculous. I just don’t get where they are going with this…I’m not even sure I care. This could have worked so much better…I’ve always thought that Greenlee should have been Erica’s daughter…very similar personalities (i.e., shallow, selfish, etc.) and they would have made a perfect mother/daughter team…but, no, they screwed it all up! I’m sure you don’t want me to get started on this storyline…
Karen: We’ve spoken so many times about why TPTB haven’t brought Derek Frye back with any regularity. Now, as Finola Hughes is leaving, won’t that mean the Chief of Police position will have to be filled? There’s no other logical candidate unless they bring someone new in, and that would really a slap in the face. Can we push for a special election? Well, at least we know Arnold Schwartzenegger is otherwise engaged! <grin>
Gloria: If they go that route, they will endear all the old-timer devoted fans. It would make Finola’s departure so much easier to take. It would satisfy so many elements that are missing from Pine Valley…Of course, I’d still be thrilled for Trevor Dillon to return as well…think anyone would notice if Amanda looked just like Joni?
