From Gloria and Karen, for About.com

LEFTOVERS:

Karen: Did you notice we didn’t see Reggie after his confab with Bianca and Maggie in the boathouse? You don’t think he’s passed out in the woods somewhere with anaphylactic shock, do you? If not, what was the purpose of the bee sting? There has to be a reason for this picnic!

Gloria: Well, I thought Reggie would find Michael’s body when he went to look for the Frisbee…so that would have been a great reason for the picnic! <grin>

Karen: It sure would have been!

Gloria: Once again, they didn’t consult me…

Karen: I’m so glad Ryan is back, but not that his bonus in all of this is going to be getting back at David! I like David so much, and we know his heart is about to be broken again. It makes for a good plot, but what a terrible time for David to find that “Payback is Hell”!

Gloria: ITA again, although, David has always struck me as a better evil character, not that I don’t feel sorry for him, but…

Karen: David may be more fun to watch as the dastardly Doctor Evil, but Vincent plays “tender and caring” equally well. I think he’s able to keep our interest regardless of where the storyline takes him because there’s always that irresistible “bad boy” factor.

Gloria: Nah, it’s that five o’clock shadow that enables him to be the bad boy better! <grin>

Karen: At last, Mary exposed! It should be really interesting to see how this puts her together with Adam!

Gloria: Yeah, how’s that going to happen…where is the elusive Adam, anyway?

Karen: Still fishing with Stuart in Canada?

Gloria: I thought he took off with Palmer?

Karen: Do you remember my asking if the household tip the flight attendant gave Kendall, using hydrogen peroxide to take out blood stains, actually worked? I had occasion to find out yesterday, and am happy to report that it does! I have a beige Berber carpet, and scrubbed it yesterday with stain removers, then shampooed, and the bloodstain was still there. I remembered the tip from Kendall’s Airborne Heloise, and the bloodstain is gone!

Gloria: Well, I need it for dog vomit…three huge stains happened yesterday! I’ll let you know.

Karen: Ironically, I’ve got the same problem today and hadn’t thought about using the peroxide for anything but bloodstains, so I’ll try it, too. What’s going on with these dogs, anyway? Don’t we have enough to do already? I’m having a week where I agree with the saying, “Cats Rule, Dogs Drool…”!

Gloria: Well, it’s on my to-do list for the weekend.

Karen: I forgot to tell you that, while flipping through channels over the weekend, I happened upon a movie with Amelia Heinle called “Black Cat Run”. What a stinker! I like Amelia, too, and wish someone would give the girl something decent to act in! (Excluding, of course, AMC, but she’s been either underused or used in mostly stupid storylines ever since Mia came to Pine Valley.)

Gloria: I saw it, too! I was so afraid for her and her boyfriend—I don’t see how they didn’t burn up at the end. <grin> I know and love her from the soap opera, “Loving,” and they should be cultivating her talents instead of just having her doing this side-line thing—they should have had an affair with Mia and Tad—who cares about Jake, anyway? And/or Simone?

Karen: Sorry, but I never saw Mia and Tad as a potential couple (and sure don’t see him with Simone!). I actually thought there could be some sparks between Mia and Aidan…

Gloria: I meant that “and/or who cares about Simone (upcoming affair with Tad),” not that I could see her with Tad. I was trying more to cement the Mia character into the show by hooking her up with Tad, that’s all.
