FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK…

Krystal holds the document she took from her shoe and laughs that she can't believe he worked so hard for this! Tad would never consider on his worst day what just happened between the two of them work! He accuses her of knowing the entire evening that he was dying to get a peek at that; she agrees, "That and a couple of other things-I hope I satisfied your curiosity in those areas!" She still doesn't understand why he went to all that trouble, but hands it to him for all his hard work and effort. Tad unfolds the paper and exclaims, "Krystal, what the hell is this?" Krystal asks if he just happened to see her and Babe with that piece of paper? He was spying! Tad prefers to think of it as surveillance and brings up that mother bear with her cub thing. He admires her for her dedication to her daughter Krystal, just as he's dedicated to his son. When Tad says there's nothing he wouldn't do for Jamie, Krystal notes, "Including sleep with me!" Tad admits that was kind of selfish, but he wouldn't have to sleep with her to get his hands on something like this. It's his job and he's good at it, and as fascinating as her bank statement may be, it's hardly something capable of destroying Babe's life! He knows this couldn't be what Babe gave her, asking how a bank statement could possibly damage Babe's life? Krystal asks if he saw her balance? It's negative, overdrawn! If JR saw that, he'd think she sent Babe out in the world to snag a rich husband. Tad asks if she did? Babe wonders, if all she wanted was money, doesn't he think she could get her own sugar daddy? Tad thinks that depends, "Am I in line for the job?

Simone tells the hotel manager she just needs Tad Martin's room number, but he insists the Valley Inn has a strict policy of protecting their guests' privacy. Simone insists Tad's up there waiting for her now, and she just forgot the room number. When that doesn't work, she slips the guy some cash, and he agrees to see what he can do. Brooke comes up and says she thought Simone had given up being so self-destructive; Tad is not going to thank her for saving him! Liza comes up as Simone wonders why ex-wives think they're the authorities on the men they've lost? Liza says it's because they are, and assumes this conversation is Tad-related. She and Brooke agree Simone can't save Tad from himself-hundreds have tried! Simone argues that Krystal doesn't deserve Tad, but Liza thinks Tad may be her just desserts! The manager comes back and slips Simone the information she wanted. She hurries off, and Liza asks if Brooke really thinks Tad's interested in Babe's mother? Brooke laughs, and Liza decides she needs more chocolate; she picks up a plate of goodies, and she and Brooke leave with it.

Tad replies that he's known more than his fair share of gold diggers in his time, and she doesn't qualify. Krystal says JR's daddy doesn't think that; if he sees the bank statement… Tad's not buying it, and asks if this whole game of cat and mouse was over a bank statement in the name of sport? Krystal grins she likes to think of it as strip hide-and-seek, and Tad has to admit it's the most memorable New Year's Eve he's had in a long time. Krystal thinks so, too, and heads for the shower. Tad's about to join her when Simone bangs on the door and shouts that she knows he's in there!

Simone comes back with the manager after leaving to take a phone call that turned out to just be a dial tone. He leaves, and Tad opens the door, saying he thought he heard her voice, "Happy New Year!" He says he was in the shower, and Simone asks if Krystal's still in there? Tad thought they settled this, and asks her please not to do this! Simone looks around the room, and tells Tad to swear to her he didn't get this room so he could massage the mattress with Krystal! Tad tells her to look under the bed and check the closet if she has to, adding he thinks she's adorable. When she says a woman like that is so far beyond easy, Tad asks if she thinks he would find that attractive? Simone sighs that he wouldn't-she knows better! She asks him to forgive her for freaking out again, and he tells her to forget it. Simone goes and locks the door, suggesting they take advantage of having this room, and enjoy their first date of 2004. She pulls his robe away and kisses him. After they make love, an exhausted Tad crawls to the bed as Simone says that was unbelievable! Tad groans he kind of surprised himself! Simone says he gets better every year, and Tad tells her he was inspired. Simone wonders if there's any way they can tap into that inspiration again any time soon? We hear the strains of "Tad the Cad" as they go for it again!
