WHO COULD ASK FOR ANYTHING MORE?

Maggie pulls back from their kiss and exclaims, “You’re okay, right?” Jamie says he is, just a little bruised. He adds that she kind of knocked him on his butt, not talking about the car; Maggie kisses him again as she suggests she could really knock his socks off! Jamie asks what this is about? He thought they didn’t have the right chemistry. Maggie suggests maybe they didn’t mess around with the formula enough, and that was so long ago—last semester! She asks if he’s still with Babe? Jamie says whatever he wants from her, he’ll find out soon enough, and Maggie agrees that works for her; she suggests they pick up from where they left off, and he can start by buying her a drink. They walk to the park, where Maggie notes there’s no place here to get a drink. Spotting a parked limo, Jamie grins that some bars never close. He peeks in at the fully-stocked bar, CD stereo and flat screen TV—what else could they ask for? Maggie wonders If she should keep lookout, or just wait until the cops come to arrest them? Jamie insists it’s only illegal if they steal the car; they’re just going to temporarily borrow it. Calling it worth the risk, he manages to open a door, and they enter the limo. They start kissing immediately, and Jamie doesn’t think they gave their chemistry enough of a chance last time. Maggie suggests he had a little too much Babe on the mind, and Jamie agrees that’s history. He asks about her status these days, and it appears that both are unattached; their kisses become even more passionate as they lie down on the leather seats.

A PRESSURE COOKER…

Jack speaks on the phone, asking how soon she can get over here? He says Erica slept all morning, and now he has to get to court; he’ll see her in a few minutes. Erica comes out, not believing she slept like that, and says she feels just great—she just feels that something really positive is going to happen today. She asks if that call was for her, and Jack tells her it was Myrtle; she’s going to come over to keep her company. Surprised, Erica says she loves Myrtle, but why would she be coming over to keep her company? Jack explains he thinks it would be a really good idea if Myrtle stayed with her while he went to court today, but Erica insists he’s not going to court without her. Jack thinks it’s a bad idea for her to be anywhere near Kendall right now, but Erica protests he can’t forbid her to go to court, and doesn’t need Myrtle to babysit for her—she doesn’t know what this is all about! Jack says that’s the problem; something did happen last night, and she doesn’t remember what it is. Erica grants that she had a terrible day yesterday and it put her a little out of balance last night, but that’s all. Jack argues that she had a blackout, and Erica says she’s under a lot of stress after hearing the medical evidence about Kendall’s carrying Michael Cambias’ baby. When Jack repeats that it’s not a good idea for her to go to the courthouse, but Erica insists she made promises to both Bianca and Ryan that she would stand by Kendall no matter what. Jack understands that, but thinks it might be best for everyone concerned that she doesn’t go to court, as she was out of control last night. Erica repeats that she’s fine, and Jack realizes Erica has no recollection of the night before when she went to Kendall’s house and tried to kill her! Erica cries that is a terrible thing to say—she would never hurt her own child! Jack gently says she wasn’t herself, but Erica declares she would know if she did something so monstrous. Jack says last night she thought Kendall was Michael Cambias, and Erica pales as she asks if she hurt anyone? Told that Aidan got there in time to stop her, but what if she loses it again in front of a judge and jury—he doesn’t want her to take that chance. Erica wants him to explain what he’s so afraid of—what is he afraid she’ll do? Jack calls the whole situation a pressure cooker, and thinks she should stay home for her own peace of mind. Jack gets a call as Myrtle comes to the door, and promises to be there as soon as possible. Erica insists he tell her what’s going on, and he admits that Greenlee just showed up in court with the missing preacher. Erica worries that could be deadly, and asks if he can’t do anything? Jack can’t from here, and promises to call her every chance he gets. Asking Myrtle to take care of his girl, Jack leaves. Erica tells her friend not to take off her coat—they’re going to court! She heard what Jack said—they’re putting the minister on the stand! Myrtle says he’ll testify and clear up the whole mess, but Erica asks if she doesn’t think, if he would be a good witness for the defense, that they would have called him already? Myrtle asks what about that blackout she had last night?
