"Tad is sleeping with all of us?" Simone repeats, and Krystal sighs that she wasn't supposed to hear that. When Simone insists she doesn't know what she's talking about, Liza notes she can't say she didn't warn her, and it's lousy that she found out this way-Tad should have been the one to say something to her! As Simone calls him every name in the book and the others concur, Tad comes through the door. "It's true, isn't it?" Simone demands. Tad's sorry, and says it wasn't supposed to be like this! They were supposed to keep things casual! Simone tells him to choke on it-she doesn't want to hear any more lies from anyone, "Have a nice life!" She storms out as Tad asks her to just give him five minutes; she suggests, if he wants five minutes, "Try Krystal!" Krystal shrugs as she tells Liza that girl's got the entirely wrong idea about her! Tad goes back inside and asks why he just walked into an ambush? He agrees he was in jail for a misunderstanding but, thanks to them, he's in Hell! Krystal explains they were just talking about his sexual stats, and Simone just walked in. Liza asks why he didn't tell Simone he wanted to be in an open relationship and that he was seeing other women? She doesn't want to do anything to hurt Simone! Tad thinks she's had a problem with him seeing Simone from Day One, and Krystal notes she doesn't think it's the seeing her part that gets Liza's goat. She asks if she gets her seal of approval, too, and Liza replies that she's just so chipper and down-home, how can she say no? Tad asks what he did to deserve this? He goes outside to try again, and Liza tells Krystal she's dumber than a box of hair if she thinks she's going to call the shots between her and Tad! Krystal gives Liza some friendly advice not to push so hard. The truth is that she enjoys a good competitor, and is trying to give her some tips on how to put up a good fight! Liza almost believes her! Krystal says she is on the level. She's got to give her fish some line, let him play, he'll set his hook, and that's when she reels him in.
Tad finds Simone at Fusion, where she coldly tells him she has a deadline. Tad's sorry, but she's going to miss it, because they are going to have this out right here and now. He admits he should have told her about Liza; he tried, but when he started to come clean, she knocked him off track. Is there anything he can do or say to keep her from hating him? Simone doesn't hate him; he made himself more than clear when he said their relationship was supposed to stay casual. She's the one that threw in the "L" word but she couldn't help it, no more than he could help being himself. Tad's sorry she got hurt, and that things had to end like this. Simone asks who's ending? Just because he's not ready for monogamy right this second doesn't mean she's cashing in her chips and running home! Tad looks around as he wonders, "Is there something in the water here?" Simone tells him she's in the game, most definitely a player, because he's been honest with her, and Tad notes the women of Pine Valley have really changed in the last ten years. That's not a complaint, but he's just concerned that eventually things are going to get really ugly. Simone feels like rising to this new challenge, and she can take care of herself. Krystal is so busy being free and easy, and is attracted to any man in pants, and Liza is a relic! The only reason Liza wants to recapture her past with him is that she's too damned scared to break out and find her own future. She kisses him as she says she's perfect for him in every way, and she'll prove it, but pulls back and says they'll do that when she doesn't have a deadline. Tad asks if the kiss was some kind of test? Simone calls it a sample of what's to come; now that he's been honest and she knows he's still genuinely interested in her, she'll call him when she has time to play!
