As Greenlee dozes fitfully on the bed, her dreams bring her back to the rockslide in the mineshaft, and finding the beautiful Victorian box in the rubble. She next sees herself with Ryan in the enchanted forest, asking him if she's seen the box before; Ryan told her if she had, she wouldn't recognize it, "It's all you need to be truly happy." When she laughed and asked how a box can make you happy, Ryan had said it's what's inside that counts, "The secret of love." Greenlee awakens from her dream and exclaims, "The box! I left the box behind!" She gets up to find a note that Ryan's gone for chicken soup and hot chocolate, "Back in a flash!" Greens declares that's not soon enough-she needs that box! She grabs a jacket and a rope, and heads out the door. Ryan comes back and calls for her, disturbed to find the empty cabin, and wonders, "Greenlee, where'd you go?"
We see Greenlee alone at the mineshaft with a flashlight, and she flashes back to the terror of the rockslide as Ryan comes up and calls for her-what the hell is she doing up here? She cries that she thought she could do it, but then she remembered everything and can't go back down there. Ryan agrees she can't, but Greenlee insists she has to get it-she needs to get it! Ryan picks her up as he insists all she needs is to get warm in front of the fire.
Back at the cabin, Ryan's glad Greenlee is feeling better-before he kills her! Would she please tell him what she was thinking going back to that mineshaft again? Greenlee says she left something, a box, "What if I made it up? What if it wasn't real?" Ryan teases that a couple of weeks at Oak Haven will fix her right up, but she insists she has to have that box-it's important! He smiles as he reaches for the box he's put behind the chair, and asks if she means this one? He struggles to open it as he says a key would be helpful, and Greenlee urges him to break it open! Ryan figures the only reason she would risk going back to that hellhole is a sign from Leo, "Am I right?" Greenlee flashes back to the magical Christmas box that brought her back to Leo, and hears Ryan's voice saying this box held the secret of love. She insists she has to open it! Ryan thinks she's hanging a lot on this. He's the one guy that understands her psychic thing with Leo, but if she opens this box, there's probably nothing in it. Greenlee insists, and Ryan breaks the lock. Greenlee looks inside and exclaims, "Oh my god, I knew it!" She says this is fantastic, but Ryan points out there's nothing in it. "Exactly!" she agrees, and flashes back to Leo's Christmas box as she says this was Ryan's gift to her. He knew how much it mattered to her, so he saved it when he saved her! When Ryan calls her a very confusing woman, Greens admits she's been confused, but suddenly things seem pretty clear to her.
ROOMIES?
Jamie and Maggie competitively play video games at Tad's, and Jamie asks what was up at Bianca's-did they have a fight or something? Maggie tells him Bianca's never been better.
Bianca is lying on the sofa with her head in Lena's lap as Lena reads to her from Shakespeare, Miranda marveling at the brave new world. Bianca asks how much she loves that scene? Miranda is so excited when she finds out about all the other people that exist in the world! The baby kicks, and Bianca sighs this feels so right. A few days ago, she doesn't think she could have imagined this kind of peace. Now, for the first time in a long time, she feels really and truly happy with her life. Lena smiles, her hand resting on Bianca's growing belly, and Bianca covers her hand with her own.
Jamie asks if she's ticked off at him for what he said earlier, when he mentioned Bianca? Was he supposed to ignore the fact that she was bawling like a baby when they left her apartment? Maggie says it was stupid and emotional; Bianca's moving out into a house when she has the baby. Jamie asks if she's going to keep her apartment? Maggie shrugs that she supposes; their life is about to do a complete 180-everything's changing, and she's going to miss her, "I'm going to miss us." Jamie gets it, saying it's just like him and JR, and he still misses him. Maggie notes life is about change, and Jamie agrees, for some people, but he's in college and still lives with his mom, except when he's with his dad! Jamie wins the game, and Maggie looks at him as her idea grows, suggesting they be roommates. Taken aback, he asks if she means actually living together? Asked why not, Jamie says they're buds and the sex is great, but they're not even remotely close to being in love!
