In the nursery, Anita checks the baby as Krystal suits up to hold her grandbaby. When Adam grabs Krystal's arm and says she's not taking his granddaughter anywhere, Tad declares, "Wrong! She's taking Bess to see her mother, so back off!"
Babe tosses fitfully as she cries, "Paul, please don't take my baby!"
Bianca dreams of her joy at holding Miranda in her arms. She hears a baby's cry and wakes up to find Lena and Maggie sleeping in nearby chairs. She smiles as she tells them she was just dreaming about Miranda and the first time she held her, and needs to hold her again, "Will you bring her to me?" Lena and Maggie exchange glances as Bianca repeats, "Bring me my baby."
Outside in the hallway, Greenlee says she has to see Bianca, which Kendall proclaims will happen right after she kills her! Krystal and Anita come up with the baby, and Bianca exclaims, "Oh, it's her-that's my baby!" She says she's crying, and again asks them to bring her her baby. Lena kneels down as she gently says her baby's not here, but Bianca insists she is, "She's right outside-I can hear her out there!"
Jackson goes to the penthouse and finds the note Erica left for him. He reads it before noticing the empty wine glass on the coffee table and curses, "Damn it, Erica!"
Ryan, Kendall and Greenlee look on as Krystal tells the baby there's no time for tears, "I'm taking you to see your mama!"
Bianca says Miranda stopped crying. Lena tells her that's not Miranda, but Bianca insists she knows Miranda's cry. Lena gently asks if she remembers how she got here? Bianca says she does. She gave birth in a cabin and lost too much blood, and help came, the rescue chopper… A stunned look comes over her face as she remembers that Miranda's gone, and cries that her baby's gone, "But she feels so close!" Kendall looks through the window as Lena takes Bianca in her arms.
Greenlee insists she didn't come here to make a scene or cause trouble, and she'll stay just long enough to tell Bianca how sorry she is about the baby. Kendall says she doesn't get it-the last thing her sister wants or needs is her sympathy! She goes into the room as Ryan watches her thoughtfully.
Bianca tells Kendall she heard a baby, and felt so sure it was Miranda! She desperately says she could still be alive-there was an earthquake, and they were pulling out survivors days later! Kendall begs her not to do this to herself, but Bianca says somebody could have found her and brought her home and reported it to the police! If Miranda's really gone, then why does she still feel her so near? Lena says she'll always be a part of her, and Bianca asks whose baby she heard crying? Kendall says it was Babe's, and Bianca remembers her saying Babe gave birth to a little girl right after she did. Kendall tells her the baby's name is Bess. Bianca says Babe must be on Cloud Nine, but sees the look that passes between Lena and Kendall. She asks if Babe and the baby are okay, "Please tell me they're both all right!"
JR wipes Babe's brow as he tells her Paul's not here-he made him go. Delirious, Babe says her baby doesn't need an incubator-her baby's fine! She recalls telling her child, "Don't you worry, my precious little boy," and telling Paul mamas aren't supposed to be away from their babies-it just isn't natural! As she sees Paul holding the baby and saying it won't be for long, JR tells her they're not at the cabin. "My baby-don't take him!" she cries. JR says she and her baby are both fine, safe in the hospital. She calls Paul's name again, and JR repeats that he made him go, and he won't be coming back. Krystal sees her husband, and asks again about the baby as Krystal and Anita come in with a teeny, tiny visitor. JR grins that the baby's coos are baby talk for "I want my mommy". He tells her to look, and she smiles when JR says she's absolutely perfect.
Adam says that's the last time he interferes with his grandchild, but Tad intends to do a lot of interfering! Adam reminds him he is nothing to Bess-has he forgotten that paternity test? Jamie is not her father! Tad agrees JR's the father and, since JR is like a son to him, that makes Bess a part of his family every bit as much as she's a part of his, "You'd better get used to it-I'm a part of that kid's life!" Adam refuses to let him interfere with his family, but Tad points out he doesn't have a choice. Nobody cares what he wants. Bess is Dixie's grandchild as much as she is his. He was there when JR was born, and remembers what Adam did to him. All he wanted was a clone in his own twisted image so the great Adam Chandler would live on forever. He'd better get used to having him around, because he's not going to let him do the same thing with Bess!
