As Bianca holds the baby, Babe tells her friend, "It's okay, Bianca, I understand." Bianca asks, "How can you? I don't." When she saw her and held her and heard her cry, everything inside her said this was her baby, she's alive. She held her in her arms, and she couldn't let her go. Babe gently urges, "Bianca, we can do this, I promise." They worked their way through all kinds of stuff, and they can work their way through this, too, "All right?" JR takes a step forward, but Babe catches his arm as she swears to Bianca that everything is going to be all right. Adam hurries up and exclaims, "Thank God she's all right!" He tells Bianca he's her grandfather and he'll take her now, but Ryan holds him back and tells him to stay out of this! Lena comes in and joins Maggie and Jamie as Bianca takes small steps toward Babe while she tells the baby she's sorry, she didn't mean to scare her; she only wanted… She kisses the baby's forehead, "Goodbye, Angel." Her real mommy loves her so much, and she knows she already loves her, too. She places the baby in Babe's arms, and all watch the joyful family reunion.
In Llanview, Paul tells Ace he's one lucky little kid-he's a Buchanan! That means no jumping through hoops or playing the odds; his life is set, just like Kelly's, "Which is why I know she's going to give me the money I need." He knows there's no way Ace wants to go back to his real mom, and there's no way he can-that's never going to happen! The Chandlers would put him away forever if they knew he was JR's kid, so it's better this way. Babe only wanted him so she could keep her hooks in her husband! Paul gets a call and wonders aloud why there are so many emergencies in Pine Valley? He tells the baby he's got to go, but everything will work out, "I promise."
Babe cradles the baby and says she missed her so much! JR agrees she made her daddy bonkers. Babe thanks Bianca for bringing Bess back to them, and Adam growls, "Not soon enough!" Bianca agrees Adam is right; Bess is back where she belongs, and she is so sorry! She didn't want to scare or upset anyone; she saw her and thought she was her baby, and being with her was the only thing that mattered. It felt so right, but she knows it was wrong. Kendall assures her sister nobody blames her; she was mourning the loss of her own daughter, and it's perfectly understandable. Bianca repeats that she doesn't understand. She looked at Bess, and everything in her heart told her she was her little girl. That feeling was stronger than anything, and she couldn't ignore it-she didn't want to! She tells Babe she doesn't have to worry. She knows Bess is hers, "But why do I still feel like she's mine?" Adam suggests they get some medical attention for this child, "Who knows what she's been through?" Tad tells him to give it a rest, and Adam asks if he has to take her to another facility to get her the help she needs? Because he will! Bianca insists she took good care of Bess; she was never alone or in any danger! Babe asks how she could be anything but perfect with Bianca watching out for her? She's all pink and happy! Joe agrees, but in a case like this, the hospital mandates a complete examination. JR wants to go along, and Babe puts her child in JR's arms as she says she'll be waiting for her. Kendall thinks Bianca looks exhausted and suggests they go to her room, but Babe wants a chance to talk to Bianca. Kendall tries to discourage it, but Bianca needs to talk to Babe, and the friends leave together. Kendall cries as she asks Ryan how anyone can be that forgiving? If she makes this worse for Bianca… Adam asks what about the hell Bianca put them all through? He hopes Babe makes that very clear to her sister! He starts after them, but Krystal asks where he gets off? He doesn't have a clue about Babe! He is so full of meanness he doesn't recognize love when he sees it, and Babe loves with everything she's got. Did she hold it against him for trying to kick her out all those times or trying to pay her off? Did she hold it against JR for forcing her to take that paternity test? Hell, no! Adam doesn't think those offenses compare with stealing a baby. Krystal asks if money makes him stupid? Babe knows that Bianca acted out of pain, not malice! She's not going to kick her to the curb just because she's mourning her own baby the only way she could. Maybe Babe's blood isn't blue enough for them, but she does not put any rules or restrictions on where she gives her love, "With all you people, it's one mistake and Sayonara-and that's one hell of a way to live!" She storms off as Lena gets a call and says she has to return this; she goes to the pay phone, and says she'll be right back. Jamie kisses Maggie's hair in support and comfort. Adam interrupts Kendall and Ryan, and Kendall warns him not to say one more word about criminal charges!
