Krystal and Babe are silent as Bianca and Maggie come up. Bianca sees that Babe is crying, and gently helps her friend up as she asks what's wrong? Babe sobs, "I'm so sorry, Bianca, for everything!" Bianca asks what she has to be sorry about? Whatever it is, it's going to be all right! Babe cries that she didn't mean to, and if she had known Krystal quickly says it wasn't her fault, and she did everything she could. Bianca agrees, and doesn't want her to feel guilty, or for anyone to come here and feel sad. They may never know why Miranda was taken and Bess was spared, but she's just so glad that one of them was! Krystal turns away as Bianca embraces Babe and says she knows she's grieving for her little girl-they've shared so much! Babe cries that she doesn't understand, but Bianca insists she does, and is so grateful. Maggie suggests to Krystal that they give them some time alone, but Krystal doesn't think that's a good idea. Babe insists, and Krystal reluctantly walks a few paces away. Bianca says Babe did so much for her little girl, and she knows she loves her. Bianca says she brought Miranda into the world. It's because of her that she got to hold her at all, and they're still connected. She still feels Miranda, and says Babe didn't have to come to this place, but she's so grateful that she did. Babe cries that it wasn't supposed to be like this! Bianca doesn't want Babe grieving for her little girl, because she's got Bess to care for, and babies are so sensitive. When she says Babe is getting married and is allowed to be happy, Krystal agrees she's right, and they have a lot to do before the wedding. As she tries to lead her daughter away, Babe protests that she hasn't said everything she has to say. She turns to Bianca, who asks what she has to say? Babe tells her she wants to say goodbye to the baby. She kneels down on the ground as she holds the stuffed Teddy bear and cries that she didn't know, and she's sorry, "I'll always remember you, my little angel. I love you, and I'll miss you the rest of my life." She cries as she says a prayer, and lays the stuffed toy on the ground. Bianca thanks her for loving her baby so much, and Babe breaks down in tears again as she lets Krystal lead her away.
Bianca looks at the stuffed animals left in tribute to her daughter, and says she thought she would be the only one to mourn Miranda, other than the people who love her, and never expected that her loss would have an effect on so many people who never got to know her. Maggie comments that Babe was a wreck, and Bianca isn't surprised. She says Babe brought Miranda into the world; she and Paul Cramer are the only ones that got to hold her. She muses it's funny, she thought coming here would make her feel closer to her, but it doesn't. She feels Miranda's presence wherever she goes; she's always in her heart. She likes coming here, explaining it's peaceful, and so full of love. They sit down, and Bianca says she tries not to think of everything she missed, and what they missed together. She thinks of Miranda as a very old soul that had nothing to learn here, so she had to go. She never used to be religious, but she's absolutely certain she's out there somewhere waiting for her, and she's going to find her, and hold her again. She used to think the world was just random, one big mass of chaos, but since she lost Miranda, she has to believe there's a reason for everything, like maybe some lesson she's supposed to learn, but she has faith she's going to figure it out. Maggie likes what she said about Miranda being an old soul, but doesn't think she can enjoy or love anything again. They lost Frankie, but it's not the same. They laugh together at the thought of Frankie watching over Miranda right now, and Bianca says they can still laugh. That's what she thinks about, and all the love she still has for her baby, how she needs her, and all the wonderful people she has in her life. They're never going to forget about Miranda-she'll make sure of that! They'll just take all the love they have for her, and pile it on Bess. Maggie thinks she's amazing. She says it's getting chilly, and goes to warm up the car. Alone, Bianca speaks to the lost baby she thinks is Miranda, and says she saw her best friend today, Bess. She was so cheerful and so beautiful, "She reminded me of you." Bess even has her name, Bess Miranda, so no one will ever forget her, "Babe and I won't let them!" She kisses the stuffed bear and smiles, "Good night, my angel. Mommy will always love you." She cries as she gently sets the bear in the water, and watches as it floats away.
