That had to be how Bianca felt; when she took Bess from the hospital, she knew it was her own baby, no matter what everybody else said and what the facts were. Can't they see this is a miracle, and why aren't they happy? "Can't you see what this is?" David sighs, "Yes, I'm afraid that we do." Babe knows it's crazy, but this is the only way she knew to buy time to figure out how to get her little boy back before J.R. finds out. The second he finds out, she won't be able to get her baby back, and she has to protect Miranda for Bianca. David thinks she's crazed about Bess, freaked about giving her back to Bianca. She saw the baby, bumped into Paul Cramer, and the whole nightmare came crashing back on her. Babe asks if he'll please just not talk all soothing to her like she's bonkers or something? Paul stole her baby, and he gave him to his sister, Kelly! David asks why Cramer would do something so crazy? Babe has no idea, and they need to ask him, but is she supposed to just confront him? She turns to Krystal and says she knows Paul could have done this-he hated her! David insists that doesn't mean he would steal her baby. Babe argues Paul was the one that said Miranda was hers, even though he knew she had a little boy, and her mother knows Adam and J.R. said they would rip him apart if anything happened to his little boy. The thing is, he had already stashed her little boy somewhere, so to cover his own sorry butt, he said Miranda was hers. Babe knows she needs more proof, and she needs their help to get it, "How are we going to get my baby back from the Buchanans?" Seeing the looks on her parents' faces, she exclaims, "You guys really think that I'm crazy, don't you?" She is not crazy, and she's not trying to get out of giving Bianca her baby back. She knows what she felt and what she saw; it's real, and her baby is out there! If she had been at that restaurant in Llanview, she'd know she was telling the truth. David has no doubt that she believes this is true. But, sometimes when the only place to go is pain, our mind creates a logic that will help soften the pain, and that's what happened to her in Llanview. He knows she wants to believe her baby is alive, but Babe wants her father to believe her, and her mama-she doesn't need her head shrunk. David shares that after Leora died, he saw her, too, everywhere, but the reality was that she was just a phantom of something he could never have again. When Babe protests the baby is flesh and blood, David agrees, but he's not hers. He begs her to let this go; the longer she holds onto this, the harder it will be to face reality. Babe understands they're not going to help her, so she'll find somebody that will. David protests she can't just rush off and claim some baby as her own, but Babe insists he is her little boy and she remembers him, even the little dimple in his cheek. David sighs she only saw her baby for a few brief moments, but Babe asks if he's forgotten his baby's face? Would he know Leora if he saw her again? David agrees he would, but it's not possible, for either of them. If she's so certain of this, why didn't she confront Buchanan? Babe says it wouldn't have gone over well if she told him his little boy was hers. They love her, and they don't even believe her; he would have shut her down so fast! The one thing she's learned in the Chandler house is that the truth doesn't always work, and you've got to have a foolproof plan. Krystal reminds her not everyone is as twisted as the Chandlers. Babe knows, but if Kevin Buchanan loves her baby anywhere near as much as J.R. loves Bess, the second she gets near him, he's going to shut her down. When Krystal asks what she's going to do, Babe says her mama got mad at her because she didn't have a plan when she pulled that whole pregnancy bit on J.R. This time she's going to have a plan, and it's going to be a doozy. She just needs time to figure everything out, and a way to get her little boy back, "Now, are you in, or are you out?"
