From Karen Watkins, for About.com

Adam says he has some calls to make, and Krystal warns him not to get in Tad’s way. Saying not to worry, he’ll let him fail on his own, Adam leaves the room. Babe pulls her mama aside, and Del starts to leave. Tad tells “Rat Boy” to stay put—the ship’s not sinking yet! Right now, he’s going too tell him every single thing Dixie ever said about this guy. Del asks if he doesn’t think he would help save her if he could? Tad thinks maybe he’s too thick to know what’s important, “You tell me, I’ll decide.”

Babe sighs she wanted J.R. knocked off his pins, but now that he is, this is really awful, “If I thought you were dead…” When Krystal questions if she thinks they ought to tell the truth about Di Kirby, that she’s really not Dixie, Babe asks, “Do you?”

Del tells Tad he might find Dixie in New York. She mentioned New York, someone she knows in New York City. Tad notes it’s kind of a big place; he’s got to give him more than that. Del insists he doesn’t have anything, but some men paid him a visit once on Kevin Sturgess’ orders. Tad calls Kevin Sturgess old, cold news; he needs the name of the man he worked for. Del pulls away from Tad’s grasp, and swears that’s all he can tell him.

Krystal says for once, she agrees with Adam. Di waltzes in here, gets everybody to love her, and now she’s all set to rip Tad’s heart out all over again. If that woman’s life wasn’t in the balance, she’d say she made her bed of nails, let her lie on it. Just let her handle this. When the sky that Dixie built comes crashing down, she doesn’t want it landing on her. Why doesn’t she just go find J.R.? Babe can’t believe she feels sorry for him, but she just can’t help it. They go back into the living room, and Tad tells Krystal he just got her voice mail message, “What is it you had to tell me that you didn’t think I’d want to hear?”

Babe finds J.R. in the library, shouting at someone on the phone. When he calls someone an idiot, Babe takes the phone from him and soothingly says naturally Mr. Chandler is terribly upset and anxious to locate his mother; she’s sure he didn’t mean to say any of that. She ends the call, and tells J.R. he said he would do all he could as fast as he could. J.R. angrily says he doesn’t need her to speak for him, but Babe thinks he should calm down; normally people don’t bend over backwards for you if you’re screaming at them. J.R. tells her to say it, what she’s been saying since his mother was almost mowed down by that car, “You win.” Babe insists this isn’t about winning, two women could be in danger, and J.R. sighs if anything happens to his mother… Babe says they’ll find her, and he asks since when he cares about either of them? Babe asks if she can’t sympathize with what he’s going through? J.R. says no, because she doesn’t know what his mother means to him. Babe knows how it would feel if it was her mother out there. When J.R. snaps her mother is nothing but a trashy, scheming slut, Babe asks if his is some saint? He doesn’t know her as well as he thinks he does! “What the hell is that supposed to mean?” J.R. demands. Babe thinks this is why he has no friends. He gets ticked off and takes it out on everyone around him. If he doesn’t want help, just say it; he doesn’t need to attack. J.R. furiously shoves everything off the desk and says the letter has got to be here! It tells who he is, “Where is that letter?”

Tad tells Krystal whatever it is, he can take it. Krystal makes her decision, and says she just thought he should know the whole story about her marriage to Old Gotrocks, but what does that matter when Dixie is out there missing? Is there anything she can do to help, other than man the phones? Adam comes back and notes Martin is still here, or is he back already from rescuing Dixie? When the doorbell rings, Adam thinks it’s his private investigator, and says finally they’ll get some answers. He opens the door to find Opal in an agitated state, with a pack of tarot cards in her hand. She rushes past him and tells Tad to look at this—Dixie is in trouble! Tad calls that almost interesting, but he’s busy right now. Seeing Krystal, Opal asks what brought her slithering back around Casa Chandler, anyway? Krystal says she’s got the gift—read her cards! She married Adam. Opal gapes at Adam, who warns, “One word, and it will be your last.” Krystal asks Tad what his plan is, and he says when Dixie met with this guy the first time, it had to be somewhere close, because Julia said it only took a couple of hours. So, somebody must have seen them. Maybe he can find out who she met with and where. Opal continues reading the cards, and exclaims, “The newlywed! The cards don’t lie. Dixie is in the clutches of a newlywed!” She turns to Adam and demands, “Where have you got her stashed?”

Tad goes to check in with Aidan, and Krystal tells him everything’s going to work out fine. Opal declares they’ll see, “The cards never lie!” Krystal slips out, and Adam follows.
