From Karen Watkins, for About.com

J.R. says when Jamie took Little Adam and told him he was dead, he hated that. It was close to the end of the world for him, but brothers compete. Brothers fight, let each other down, but not fathers. Tad swore to him he was every bit of a father to him, and he loved him for that. But then he watched him grieve while he knew his son was alive, and he never said a word, and for that he hates him, more than he could have ever hated Jamie. Di says Tad so regrets that, but J.R. calls it too little too late. Does she know what it’s like to have a parent tell you a lie, the one person you’re supposed to trust no matter what, and he kills it, just like that? He’s just so glad he can always trust her! What he’s trying to say to her and not saying it very well, is that if she wants to marry the guy again, if that’s what’s going to make her happy, he won’t take it personally. He knows he’s said it before, but he really means it this time. Whatever she wants, he’s cool with it. Di thanks him, and J.R. asks if they have any big plans? Are she and Tad going to ride off into the sunset times cuatro? Di says no, there are still a few clouds on the horizon; Tad’s not very happy with her right now, “J.R., I haven’t been telling you the truth.” How many times has Tad given her the chance to come clean and here they are again. She didn’t trust him enough to tell him! She denied knowing Garret for weeks, and left the letter protecting her life with Stuart instead of him. She wasn’t truthful about other things, as well, but he has to know she kept those things back from Tad and from him because she wanted to protect them. J.R. says he trusts her, while Tad is notorious for holding grudges. He’ll get over it, he always does. When Di says no, he’ll never forgive her, J.R. calls him a bigger hypocrite than he thought he was. Telling the truth? Two words, “Little Adam.” Di doesn’t blame Tad. She lied to him, to all of them, about who she really is. J.R. says he’s not Tad and he doesn’t care that she came back as the nanny. He doesn’t need her to be perfect, he just needs her to be his mom.

Jamie comes in with a birthday present he wasn’t allowed to give Little Adam before. Di looks at J.R. as she says that was so thoughtful of him; she’s sure J.R. doesn’t have a problem with that. J.R. gruffly says he caught him at a good time, but Little Adam is taking a nap, so he guesses he has to open it. He tears the paper off to reveal a small, brightly colored football and calls it Strike Two, “Little Adam is all about soccer.” Di sighs they could start an argument over a blade of grass, and urges J.R. to just let Little Adam keep the football. J.R. gestures to a large vase and says if he makes it, the ball goes. If he misses it, he guesses Little Adam is the proud owner of one ugly football. Jamie tells him to go ahead—he sucks as a quarterback! J.R. takes the shot and misses, then grumbles that’s one more toy he’ll never play with. Now, he has something for him, a message to take back with him to that loser he calls “Dad”. Apparently, he’s been having a problem with his mother not being 100% upfront with him, “Remind him that one certain stepfather was an accomplice to two baby thieves and tell him that I think he’s a self-righteous jackass!” Di thanks him for trying to look after her, but it isn’t his problem and it certainly isn’t Jamie’s. Jamie says J.R. doesn’t care about her problem; he’s just jumping at the chance to throw Little Adam in his face. J.R. agrees he’ll bring his crime up every second of his pathetic life, just because he can! Di exclaims, “Okay, boys! What happened to you?” Just last night, they were sharing the baby, sitting down and talking! She tells them to stay here for just a second and they both ask where she’s going? Di smiles she has a surprise and leaves.

J.R. says he’s happy to have his mother back, she almost lost her life, “Don’t kill my buzz by hanging out here too long.” Jamie asks if he thinks he wants to spend a minute longer than he has to with him? The minute Dixie comes back, he’s gone! Di returns with a big plate of chocolate chip cookies, saying she baked them this morning, and they’ve got every kind of nut they can think of. Jamie and J.R. exchange glances, and Di tells them she’s just kidding—she challenges them to find one sliver of a nut in there! Jamie helps himself, and J.R. asks if she thinks a cheap trick like this is going to get them to go easy on each other? A couple of chocolate chips? He moves to the sofa next to his brother and says to save some for him! Di smiles as she watches them.

As Di snatches the last cookie from the plate, Tad arrives in time to see the happy family scene. Di tells the boys to stay here for just a minute; she and Tad have some things to hash out. They go outside, and Tad says he’s decided not to tell the family she isn’t Dixie. Di hugs him, sighing with relief as she thanks him, but pulls back, stunned, when he declares, “You are.”
