From Karen Watkins, for About.com

Today’s show begins with flashbacks to the events leading up to Kendall’s surrogacy, and Greenlee telling Kendall she trusted her to give her the greatest gift of her life. The announcer tells us, “What began as a gift of friendship turns into the greatest act of betrayal.” We see Greenlee announcing to all, “My dear, selfless friend isn't carrying my baby with Ryan, she's carrying her own baby with Ryan.” The announcer concludes, “Now, the decision rocking Pine Valley…” ULTIMATE PAYBACK OR COSMIC JOKE?

Erica asks Greenlee what kind of a sick joke this is, and Ryan asks his wife what she’s talking about? She told him that Kendall was pregnant with their child, “Yours and mine.” Greenlee agrees that was the plan, the terms of their surrogate deal. She looks at Kendall as she says she was supposed to be implanted with her fertilized egg. She must have skipped the fine print where she was inseminated instead, had her own egg fertilized. She raises a glass in toast to Kendall, the one and only mother of Ryan’s baby. All eyes are on Kendall as she tells her friend, “The baby I'm carrying is yours, Greenlee.” Greenlee furiously says she promised she could trust her, but she lied about the baby and about being her friend. She slams her hand on the table as she exclaims, “Well, no more lies!” Lily covers her ears and heads for the door as Greenlee concludes that baby is no part of her, “Admit it’s all yours and Ryan’s!” When Greg thinks perhaps he released her from the hospital too soon, Greenlee implores David to tell him, update the great fertility doctor, the genius who makes women's dreams come true. Over Erica’s protests that she will not let Hayward ruin this party with his poison, David explains that Greenlee was concerned with the baby's test results; when Madden refused to show her those results, he procured them for her. Greenlee had every right to know the truth about that baby! Ryan asks what the tests said? David tells him the child Kendall is carrying is RH-positive, and Greenlee adds that she and Ryan are both RH-negative. Lily puts in that two negative blood types can't make a positive, and Greenlee calls that her first clue something wasn't right about this pregnancy. Since Kendall and Madden dodged her questions, she followed her suspicion. She can back up the test results, “I broke into Madden's clinic.” Jack quickly tells her not to incriminate herself, but Greenlee insists that fraud wouldn't dare press charges—she knows too much! She found out her remaining embryos were missing, so she broke into the good doctor's files; she cracked the combination on his locked cabinet. She slaps Kendall’s file down on the table and says it’s all there, the secret she kept from her, the whole ugly story recorded by her doctor/accomplice. She’s got to hand it to the doctor, the way he covered for Kendall, the notation claiming that her 12 embryos were suddenly not viable. So, he inseminated her instead. Kendall's egg, Ryan's sample. Their baby, not hers, all there in black and white, “Lie your way out of that, Kendall.” She notes Kendall is wide-eyed and speechless, and asks what’s the matter? Simone urges Kendall to say something, and Greg stiffly says Greenlee stole confidential information. Greenlee agrees he should call the cops; she’s got charges to throw at him, the kind that ruin long and distinguished careers. Jack agrees he will make it his business to make sure they stick! Erica protests they don’t know the whole story yet. Greenlee agrees that’s right, and tells Kendall not to keep everyone in suspense, tell them what she did behind her back, when she trusted her. Her eyes filled with tears, Kendall agrees it’s true, she was inseminated, her egg, Ryan’s sample. When Greenlee accuses her of stealing her baby, Kendall insists she didn’t steal anything, this baby is still hers. Greenlee snaps it’s not her baby—she ripped him away from her! Erica wants to take her daughter home, but Kendall insists she’s not going anywhere until she tells Greenlee what she did and why. Upset, Lily tells Jack she can’t take this, and is going to leave. Reggie offers to go with her but she says it’s fine, she has her cell phone, and just has to go. Jack nods his understanding, and Lily hurries out. Kendall tells Greenlee, “You have to know everything, and then I swear you'll understand why I had to give you your baby this way.” Greenlee tells her to go for it—make her understand! Kendall explains she went to the clinic the night after the blackout to see if her embryos were affected by the power failure. When she got there, it was the worst news possible. They weren't viable, and what was left of Ryan's sample was at risk, so she had to use it that night; there was no time to wait and harvest more of her eggs. They thought Ryan was dead, and if she didn’t do it quickly, there would no way to make a baby by Ryan.
