Ryan argues he just wants what’s best for her and the baby. Kendall tells him to do what she asks, then. She’s with Zach, and she’s going to stay with him as long as she can, “So either accept it, or go away.” Ryan sighs and agrees he won’t get in her way where Zach is concerned, but he’s not going to follow Greenlee because she doesn’t want that; he’s staying here in this penthouse. He tells her to go sit down, put her feet up, and he’ll get her a glass of water; she needs to rest. Kendall sits on the sofa and finds a scarf she thought she had lost. Ryan says that’s Greenlee’s scarf, and she loves it. Kendall insists it’s hers; Greenlee loved it and she wouldn’t tell her where she got it, so she thinks she stole it from the office! Ryan repeats that Greenlee loved that scarf, and used to wear it around here all the time. Kendall laughs she wouldn’t wear it around her so she could take it away from her! Ryan puts his arm around her when Kendall sighs, “I miss her, too, so much it hurts.” Ryan looks at a picture taken with Greenlee as Kendall thanks him for the water, and he thanks her for not throwing it at him. She laughs he’s lucky, and she’s glad they have things settled. So, when are Erin and Jonathan moving in? Ryan says tomorrow. He decided to give himself a night alone here, or as alone as he can be with Greenlee’s stuff all over the place. He needs to deal before they move in. When Kendall says she could stay if he wants her to, Ryan agrees that would be nice.

MARRIAGE?

Adam is on the phone with his son, saying Babe set him up and he fell for it. He must leave her there, and bring his grandson home! She’s cashing in on his fear, and probably set up Little Adam’s kidnapping. There’s no maniac roaming around Pine Valley—she’s there with him right now! “You’ve given her a golden opportunity to hook you and reel you in.” As J.R. listens silently, Babe comes up on the beach. J.R. tells Adam he’s exactly where he wants to be and he’s staying. He hangs up, and Adam roars, “Have you learned nothing from me about handling women?”

When Krystal comes in, Adam agreed that having him locked up overnight was an amusing prank for an amateur, but there’s no she can have him declared incompetent or gain control of his assets. When he adds there’s was no way Babe can get control of his son, Krystal informs him they’re hooking up as they speak; another round of “I do’s” won’t be far off. Adam offers a cup of tea that steams and hisses when it’s poured, but she laughs it’s a little early for payback poisoning. A second attempt, a sand bag falling from the ceiling, also misses its mark, and he promises to do better next time. She’s now officially playing hardball with a pro. Krystal calls him desperate and scared to death he’s going to lose his empire. That’s why he’s trying to run her off. He’s not going to scare her off, so he might as well bring it on. But, just in case she winds up with the angels… Adam laughs there’s no chance she’s going to wind up with that group! Krystal goes on that she’s written a will with a very explicit letter attached for the cops to swarm all over him, and she’s leaving her entire estate to her sole heir, Babe. So, he can do his worst. Babe will get her half of Chandler, and even more once she lands J.R., “You see, the Carey women win, one way or the other.” Adam smiles, but furiously kicks over a chair when she leaves the room.

Krystal comes back to the living room to find Adam gone; as she looks for him, we see Adam’s shoes, outside by a stone bench near the front door… Palmer arrives and rings the bell, not noticing the shoes on the snowy ground. He tells Krystal he was afraid Adam would want some revenge, and she agrees he did try to sandbag her, literally, but she’s learning to look up and enter rooms cautiously now. Palmer declares he can’t just stand by and let that monster hurt her. He urges her to divorce him—they can get her a settlement that would cripple the old goat! She can live with him, they can travel… Krystal protests that wouldn’t be right, but he says when she gets rid of the old goat, they can make everything legal, Mrs. Palmer Cortlandt.

Janet chortles as she looks at Adam lying unconscious in the snow. Mirror Janet asks why she’s bagging Chandler the eldest? Janet explains that J.R. threw Amanda out of their precious mansion, and as it says in some good book, “The sons are rubber, the fathers are glue.” She points at Adam and concludes, “So, the sins of J.R. are going to fall on you!” The image sighs she mangles everything. It’s the sins of the father! Janet retorts she doesn’t mangle, she tweaks, edits and improves, “Anyway, in the words of the immortal Lesley Gore, ‘It’s my party, and he’ll fry if I want him to’!” She asks Adam if he’s ready? “Let’s party!”
