From Karen Watkins, for About.com

Krystal cautions, as hard as it is, the best way to love J.R. is to let this thing take its course and be there for him when he finds out. Adam asks if that’s what they all think? If they all want to stand around and wait for the inevitable train wreck that’s fine, but he won’t. He goes upstairs, and Di asks Tad what if he tells J.R. this is all her fault? Say she kept Dixie away, say she locked her up, say anything—just put it on her! Tad calls that crazy, and Di pleads that she can handle crazy, but she can’t handle J.R.’s life being blown to bits. Tad coldly says the last thing J.R. needs is more lies from her or from his mother. Di asks when he’s coming home? Krystal doesn’t know, but not tonight. Di sighs she’d better get going; Tad and Krystal are silent as she says she’s real sorry, and leaves. Krystal notes there’s nothing like getting your guts ripped out all over again, and Tad agrees this will take J.R. right to his knees. Krystal’s not talking about J.R., she’s talking about him. When Tad tells her he’ll be all right, she says that’s a load of crud and he knows it. THE FIRST SHOT OF WORLD WAR III…

Jack looks at the papers Livia brought over and exclaims, “My god, Livia! Immediate custody of this baby? Do you know what kind of fire that's going to light under Kendall?” He can understand Ryan suing for custody, but for "total and immediate control of the unborn child"? Isn't that a little bit extreme? Livia shrugs that Ryan feels he has no choice. Jack thinks that's too bad. He was hoping to sit these two down, bang out some kind of an agreement between them. That's why he decided to represent Kendall in the first place. Now Ryan's fired the first shot of World War III. How the hell did she get a judge to sign off on this anyway? Livia points out that she’s very good, and would appreciate it if he’d let his client know that. Jack argues that Kendall didn't give Ryan parental rights so he could hijack their unborn child, and this is a total violation of Kendall's rights. Erica comes in as Livia says to tell it to the judge, and Jack agrees he will. He adds that when Ryan served Kendall with papers, she came right to him, wanted to countersue to rescind his parental rights. Erica asks if he met with Kendall and discussed this? Jack says yes, she came by the house. She was very clear about what she wanted and this clearly isn’t it. When he says Ryan has gone too far and he’s going to stop this guy, Erica insists he will do nothing of the kind! Jack repeats that he’s fighting Ryan at Kendall’s request, but Erica thinks he’s only too happy to have a "legitimate" reason to go after a man he detests. Why couldn’t he have discussed this with her? Kendall is her daughter! Jack dismisses Livia; if there’s nothing else, he’ll see her in court. Livia retorts that if Kendall wants a fight, she will get one. Until then, she’d suggest he let his client know that she may not make any decisions without her client's permission. That includes prenatal care and choice of physician. Surprised, Erica asks if Ryan has complete control? Livia agrees that's what the order says, and leaves. Erica begs Jack not to go after Ryan. He wants to do the best thing, keep his baby and raise his son as his own. How can he deny him that chance, or deny the baby the chance to know his father and his family? Jack repeats that he was hoping for a compromise in all this. He understands why she doesn’t want Kendall to give the child up, everything she went through because of her own adoption, but Erica asks what about what he went through? After that, how could he possibly want to keep Ryan from his own child? Does he remember how he felt when he found out he had a grown daughter? All the years and moments he missed because she was kept from him? Jack thinks this is completely different. There are no secrets here; everything is out in the open. What's important now is not what she wants Kendall to want, but what Kendall wants. Erica asks if this isn’t really about what he wants? He won’t forgive Ryan for what he did to Greenlee, and he wants to use her daughter to punish him. Jack insists he tried to talk Kendall out of it; he told her to make very sure this is what she wanted before she went for it. He says he cares about Kendall and that baby, but Erica thinks he cares more about punishing Ryan. Jack argues that Kendall has rights, but Erica rejoins that Ryan does, too, and he has the baby's best interests at heart. Kendall has been completely manipulated by Greg Madden and needs to be protected. As the argument escalates, Lily comes into the room with her hands covering her ears and protests, “Too loud, too loud.” Jack and Erica apologize, saying they didn’t mean to upset her.

Erica is surprised to see Amanda, and asks if she can help her? Amanda explains she was hoping to see Lily. They could do lunch, maybe shop. Lacey's is having a sale.
