All My Children Daily Dish

From Gloria and Karen, for About.com

LEFTOVERS: (Previous Dish is in italics; new comments are in bold)

Karen: Wonder what Colby’s running from? She’s a pretty girl, but it’s obvious she’s going to be big trouble!

Gloria: I think she probably did something she shouldn’t have, probably shoplifted (she was so proud of herself for whatever she’d done) and was running so she wouldn’t get caught.

Karen: Hmmm, shoplifting would have been better than three counts of carjacking, etc.!

Gloria: Carjacking? What are kids doing these days, anyway?

Karen: Well, after all, she did say the busses weren’t running! <grin> Seriously, I guess they’ll do anything when they think Daddy will buy them out of everything…

Gloria: Spoiled, you’d say?

Karen: I’d say! And, with Adam around, it’s only going to get worse, I’m afraid.

Gloria: Ugh! So, how long before she grows to her 20s? Can I stay in the foyer for that long?

Karen: I can see the writing on the wall… Adam’s not going to think his little princess can do any wrong, and that can’t bring anything but trouble. Whew—this one’s going to be a handful!

Gloria: Adam is blind when it comes to his kids--part of his charm.

Karen: Poor Krystal!

Gloria: Poor Adam.

Karen: Oh, come on! After the numbers Adam’s pulled on all of his other children, he deserves exactly what he gets and I think it will be great fun to watch him squirm! You know what they say, payback is hell.

Gloria: But you have to feel for him with this stinker, no?

Karen: Now that Kendall has remembered Ryan’s declaration of love, what is she going to do with it?

Gloria: Give Zach a reason to be very worried???

Karen: Let’s hope not.

Gloria: Have you noticed the writing on the wall?

Karen: I’m trying desperately to ignore it.

Gloria: Good luck with that!

Karen: I couldn’t believe how Dixie asked Josh if he knew anything about Kate right after Josh accused her of causing his father’s death. Self-centered much?

Gloria: I bet it would be hard not to be self-centered.

Karen: I know what you’re saying, but still…

Gloria: Biased, at bit, perhaps?

Karen: It’s funny how it normally takes an actor a while to get into character, but Ambyr Childers has been totally believable as Colby from the moment we first saw her. I’ll be curious to see what our readers think in today’s poll.

Gloria: I bet no one likes her. Spoiled to the core. Liza’s probably happy she’s gone. Think she will call???

Karen: So far, the poll proves you right. I have to say I’m surprised, though. I never said I liked the character, just that the actress is doing a great job of portraying that spoiled, selfish, arrogant little brat. Hmm, Dixie wanted David to find her a child… Think we could convince her that Colby’s really Kate? That would be poetic justice! <grin>

Gloria: I think that no one liking her means she is doing an excellent job! She plays the brat very well! Little too old for four years…

Karen: Zach is being so kind and decent to Ryan, I’ll be extremely upset if he tries to come between him and Kendall.

Gloria: I feel like Zach is just playing the part of a kind and generous guy and that his anger is just brewing and we can expect an explosion one day in the future.

Karen: I just hope he’s around in the future…

Gloria: You may not say or suggest that he will not be around…I don’t care what you hear or read…got it??? <grin>

Karen: It’s going to take the entire Chandler family to keep Colby in line, and I doubt if even that will do it! I’m with Liza and Krystal—put that kid on drugs, now!

Gloria: And lock her in her room, too!!! So, who’s she going to interact with?

Karen: Well, there’s a character coming in August, Sydney, who will be her friend, I hear they’re casting for Sean Montgomery, and who knows? Petey may return! I think the person she’d really like to interact with is Josh! Oh, and give it a year or so—Spike should be about her age!

Gloria: I’m not exactly thrilled about doing the teenager thing again this summer.

Karen: Okay, Greg’s gone, and the information about Kate with him. Now what?

Gloria: Weeks of Tad and Dixie being thrown together while they search for her?

Karen: Yawn. I’ll be in the foyer.

Gloria: That’s the part I want to see.
