From Karen Watkins, for About.com

No one should say that Lily’s normal isn’t as good as theirs. Jack disgustedly says that was not his aim, and he knows it. He wants to spare her from the truth, that one day when it suits him, he’ll destroy her. Jonathan insists he would never do that. Jack asks why he should trust him? Jonathan suggests he trust Lily, give her enough credit to do the right thing, but Jack asks why he doesn’t do the right thing? He’s never going to let him get away with this! Jonathan tells him he’s real smart, but he’s not right this time, “Lily is, and I’m not the bad man this time. You are.” Jack wants Lily to think of what he said. Jonathan is bad for her! Lily repeats “Till death do us part” over and over. Jack tells Jonathan he can end this right now—just tell her the truth and walk away like a man! He leaves, and Lily cries that he’s wrong. Jonathan assures her they’ll fight this. Lily repeats the law says she can have a job, and that she can be married, so how can the law let her father take him away from her? Jonathan tells her they’ll get a lawyer; they’ll get Livia Frye, and she’ll make everything okay. Lily wants things to stay the way they are, the two of them as husband and wife. Jonathan says she’s the best thing that ever happened to him, and she asks if he’ll hold on, not let go? When Jonathan agrees he’ll hold on tighter than ever, never let go, she asks if he’ll show her? Surprised, Jonathan asks, “You mean…” Lily nods, “Hold me.” Jonathan moves closer, very carefully, and she says he can touch her, “You don’t scare me. You make me feel safe.” He touches her hair, and Lily grimaces but stays in his arms.

AFTER ALL, IT IS PINE VALLEY…

As they wait for the hearing to begin, Kendall says they’ll set bail, she’ll pay the price and then Zach will be free, right? Ryan agrees, as long as there are no big surprises, yes. Zach should make bail, but she should be prepared for anything. Kendall sighs, “After all, it is Pine Valley.”

Di can’t believe they’ve charged Dixie with Madden’s murder, calling him a curse she can’t seem to get rid of. When Del says nobody should do time for killing that scuzball, Di gives him a long look and repeats, “Nobody.” She goes into the courtroom and sits beside Tad, asking why he isn’t investigating Greg Madden’s murder? Tad suggests they just see how this goes first. Di says Aidan told her he’s not doing anything to prove Dixie and Zach are innocent, but Tad shrugs that’s not his job. The burden of proof is on the State, remember? Di thinks all defendants could use a little help, even the innocent ones. “What about the guilty ones?” he asks.

Kendall whispers to Ryan that Tad knows something—there is some huge reason he thinks Zach and Dixie are guilty! Zach and Dixie are led into the courtroom in handcuffs, and Kendall asks Derek if it’s okay to talk to Zach? The Chief tells her this is a routine hearing—don’t do anything stupid! Kendall says it’s way too late for that. She’s not only in love with Zach, she married him.

Di asks if he wants Dixie convicted? Tad says if he knows Dixie, she’ll get herself off. Di still thinks Aidan should see what he can uncover. Tad knows what Aidan will uncover, “Would you drop it?”

Del says they had to arrest somebody, but Dixie doesn’t know, “They might have enough to put us away.”

Ryan tells Zach he doesn’t need any answers or explanations or anything like that, “You tell me what you need, and it’s yours.” Zach says he doesn’t need anything, he’s innocent. When Ryan asks what if they prove otherwise, Zach replies, “Then they put me away, and you get Kendall and your son.” Kendall comes up and asks what’s going on? Zach calls it male bonding.

Tad watches as Dixie tells Di and Del that the photographs she found of all the children are her first solid lead, and she can spend the time between the hearing and the trial going through them for Kate, but she’s got to make bail. Del says maybe it will be low, and Di notes it will have to be for them to scrape it together. Dixie insists they’ve got to figure something out, because she can’t afford to lose Kate’s trail now! Judge Stephen Stines takes the bench and calls the hearing to order, telling everyone to turn off their cell phones. Tad tells Di he hopes they’ll now get some straight answers from Dixie.

BITE IT!

Adam works the phones, trying to get additional boats to join the search, but is frustrated in his efforts. Colby comes to the breakfast table on the terrace and notes Krystal didn’t get any sleep; Krystal sighs she’ll eat and sleep when Babe is found. Adam tells Krystal there’s no news, and they can’t spare any more men for the search, “I’m sorry, darling.” He notes her breakfast has gone cold, but Krystal sighs she doesn’t care. When he says he’ll get Winifred to get some more, Colby tells him to check on her breakfast while he’s at it. Winifred comes out with a tray, and serves Miss Colby her French toast.
