ARE YOU HIS?

Sean is listening to music and slicing cheese for a snack when Lily comes into the room. He offers her some cheese and crackers, but Lily shakes her head as she says she isn’t hungry, and he doesn’t have to baby-sit her. Sean tells her he doesn’t baby-sit, but Lily’s sorry he has to stay home with her. Sean takes the earphones from his ears as he says this is for Jack and Erica. Lily knows they want him to watch over her, but Sean thinks his uncle probably wants her to watch over him, “Whatever, it’s worth it to save the marriage.” Surprised, Lily says her father’s marriage? Sean asks if she’s seen Erica around here lately? Lily says no, she’s staying at the Valley Inn. It’s just business. When Sean says no, she’s staying there because living here drove her up the wall, Lily looks around and wonders which wall? Sean tells her she couldn’t take it so she just left, but Lily insists her absence is only temporary. Sean warns her not to hold her breath, figuratively, or literally. Lily is upset, and says she won’t live in this house forever. She’ll go away to M.I.T. Then Erica can be alone with her father, and she won’t get in their way anymore. Sean assures she’s not the reason Erica left. Lily worries that she’s not like Kendall and Bianca. Kendall is fun to be with, and now that Bianca’s back, she’s just in the way. Sean tells her, “I’m the reason Erica left, okay?” When he busted in here, he brought his mother with him, and his dad. He’s a walking mess of memories Erica wants to forget. Does she understand? Lily thinks so. Sean explains it’s just been a lot for Erica to take, so she needs some space away from him, not her. Lily wonders for how long, and how much space does she need? Sean can’t answer that. Lily knows her dad misses her, but if she doesn’t miss him to the same degree, she might never return and the relationship will be over. Two people have to be very much alike to be in a successful relationship. When she and Jonathan weren’t alike anymore, it was over. Sean calls that no loss! That guy’s a freak, and he busted one when he hit on Amanda. Lily asks what he busted? And did he hurt him because Sean was hitting her? He shouldn’t hit Amanda! Sean sighs they so have a communications gap. He was just being nice to her, and wanted to be a lot nicer. All he did was put his arm around her, and he flipped out. The doorbell rings, and Sean calls it perfect when he sees it’s Amanda. He puts his arm around Amanda and tells Lily, “All I did was go like this.”

Lily arranges cheese on a cracker and tells Amanda that Sean likes her. He’s very odd, but she’s learning to read his actions in his face. Sean agrees she’s right, it’s his “I like you” face. Lily asks Amanda if she does, and Amanda says just between them, she thinks Sean likes Sean best. Lily means do she and Jonathan feel the same way about Sean liking her? Amanda tells her Sean was just fooling around, that’s what upset Jonathan, but they’re all okay; it’s no big deal. Lily thinks it might be a bigger deal than she thinks. Sean asks what’s the matter with this guy? He made a simple pass at her, and he flips out, “Are you his?” Lily knows what he means and asks Amanda, “Are you?” When Amanda says she and Jonathan going out is not an option, Lily asks why, “You don’t want him?” Amanda thanks Sean a lot, but he says they’re both waiting for an answer. Amanda tells Lily it’s not what she wants that matters now; Jonathan still wants her. He never stopped loving her. Why doesn’t she just give him another chance? Lily insists it can’t work anymore, adding Amanda and Jonathan are alike, and maybe they belong together. Amanda says Jonathan doesn’t agree. Lily picks up the knife and starts chopping at the cheese as she says they’re different, and she can’t be with Jonathan. Alikes match, they fit, and she can’t even work in the front room of ConFusion because the music is so loud. But, she can, the music doesn’t bother her. She becomes more agitated as she says she doesn’t want to have sex with him, and might never be able to, but Amanda can—she can do anything! She grasps the knife in her palm, slicing open her hand; she pales as she looks at it, “No, red, red…” Sean grabs a napkin to stop the bleeding, but Lily cries no touching! Amanda tells her how to press the napkin on her hand to stop the bleeding; she and Sean take a very reluctant Lily to the hospital for stitches.

WON’T THIS BE FUN?

Erica comes into the Valley Inn escorted by Jack and Jeff, and smiles, “Won’t this be fun?” Josh exclaims, “You Kane women can’t hold onto your partners because your choices are idiotic!” Jeff tells him to keep his voice down. Jack asks what’s going on here? When Zach says he came for a party, Josh agrees, “Yeah, to celebrate getting away with murder.” Erica and Bianca ask if they can’t put that aside for tonight, but Kendall says obviously Josh can’t! Josh declares he tortured and killed a man, and Bianca says Kendall is not defending that. “Don’t talk for me!” Kendall snaps. Their brother could use a lesson on family and loyalty. Zach adds, “And a lesson on learning how to shut up.” Josh wants to settle it right now, and Jack insists not now! Erica says if they can’t behave, go home. Kendall asks why no one cares that Zach was acquitted? Erica says not now, not here! Bianca agrees, and suggests to Josh that they go anywhere else. Donny Osmond comes up and greets Erica, saying no one told him he needed body armor for this gig, “Osmond family reunions are nothing like this.”
