IT’S UP TO YOU…

As Adam tore through the box of Kathy’s things, throwing items to the floor in frustration, the Certificate of Adoption went unnoticed in a stack of papers. J.R. came in, and Adam told him he was going to work things out.” He identified with his pain of losing Little Adam, because he’d just lost his own son, too. J.R. reminded him that he didn’t lose him, he disowned him and tried to replace him! Adam insisted he wanted to save what was left of his family; J.R. said if he was so interested in getting this family back together, he would never have walked out on Krystal when she was in labor! He stepped right over her, and then he ran Jamie off the road! Adam insisted he had nothing to do with that. He reminded him of Tad’s and Jamie’s feelings changing toward J.R., but insisted they were blood and that was a bond you can’t break. So, they could live in this house as enemies, or they could try to be a father and son again, “It’s up to you.” He wanted the company back, and for J.R. to convince Colby to return home. Then, he would try very hard to let go of his anger and try to trust him again. J.R. called that a great pitch. Did he really think he’d fall for it? Adam insisted he was trying to offer an olive branch, but J.R. asked if he knew what he could do with it? Adam hoped he remembered that the next time he found himself in pieces on the street. He wouldn’t be there to scrape up what’s left. J.R. laughed, “And I hope you have somebody that gives a damn next time you keel over and have a stroke.” When Adam said now Colby was his one and only priority, J.R. asked where he fit in? “You don’t,” Adam replied.

Amanda came in and told Adam he couldn’t just summon her like some servant! Adam said they had a deal, but Amanda protested he almost killed her and Jamie! Adam told her to say that again, take out the “almost”, and she’d get an idea of what she was dealing with.

I’LL MAKE IT LEGAL…

Tad came into Krystal’s hospital room, ignoring her and going right to his daughter, “Hello, Gorgeous.” When Krystal said there was no way this could work that way, Tad didn’t want to fight with her today. He told her the results of the hearing, and said if he wasn’t there with Jenny, he’d be out there with a gun; Krystal agreed if Babe had died, she’d be on her way to the jailhouse with an ax. She said he’d been right about Adam all along; Tad told her she wasn’t the first woman Adam had suckered, and she wouldn’t be the last. Krystal said for so long, she regretted that this baby wasn’t Adam’s, and now she thanked God every day that he was Jenny’s daddy. She was sorry she kept it from him for so long, but promised to make it right. When she got out of there, she’d make it legal. He was the kind of father that every child deserved.

THE BRAIN POWER OF A POTTED PLANT…

Zach went to see Alexander and complimented him on his brilliant performance. Alexander was silent as Zach noted that he wouldn’t be able to stand up, move around, show any interest in anything or speak, or he’d be made and wind up back in court. This was his prison, because he’d finally screwed up. The brain power of a potted plant…that’s how people were going to remember the great Alexander Cambias Sr. He wanted to give him something to think about when he’s staring up the wall with that stupid look on his face. What if he really was Raymond’s son? He gave the one thing he cared about in this world, Cambias Industries, to the bastard son of his wife’s lover. He left, and Alexander gripped the arms of the wheelchair tightly…

WHO IN THIS TOWN HASN’T?

At Fusion, Kendall was queasy and rushed to the bathroom; Annie followed. Kendall insisted she was fine, but Annie wondered if she hadn’t figured out yet that she was really hard to get rid of?

Ryan realized that Babe was suffering from survivor’s guilt, and assured her it wouldn’t be more fair if she had died instead of Erin or Simone or Dixie. When Babe protested that she had done terrible things, Ryan asked, “Who in this town hasn’t?” He was at her funeral. He saw her mother and her husband and her friends, and they were heartbroken. It was very clear to him that she had done a lot of good things. Babe thanked him; that was very sweet of him.

Annie told Kendall she’d been where she was now when Terry was a threat to her child and to others; her husband was free and she became a prisoner. She understood Kendall’s desire for justice. She shared something she’d never told anyone, that she’d prayed for Terry’s death. If Kendall wanted to be happy, fight for it! Zach arrived, and Kendall saw there was something different about him. He told her he’d gone to see his dad in jail to make sure he didn’t have any power over him. He didn’t even know when it happened, but finally he was in complete control. Zach and Ryan were surprised at the new understanding between Kendall and Annie, and wondered what happened in the ladies’ room. Ryan worried that Jonathan was so ticked at the court’s ruling that he might lose control.

I’M NOT INTERESTED IN GAMES, OR THE PEOPLE WHO PLAY THEM…

Josh saw how upset Hannah was when she came back to the office; he suggested they get out of there, play a game of hoops, but Hannah wasn’t interested in games, or the people who played them. When Josh said he understood how she felt, Hannah told him not to flatter himself—he couldn’t possibly understand how she felt! Haunted by the hell Alexander had put her through, she went to ConFusion for a drink.

THE CAREY WOMEN…

Babe was surprised when Krystal said Colby was going to live with them, but agreed it would be great. She and Krystal officially made Colby a Carey woman; they linked pinkies and recited their motto, “We deserve the best, and together we can always get it.”

HERE’S TO MY BEAUTIFUL LITTLE JENNY…

At ConFusion, Tad and Derek toasted to his new baby, his beautiful little Jenny.

GLOVED HANDS…

We saw gloved hands taking a high-powered rifle from a case—it was Del!
