DANGEROUS INTENTIONS…

Del grimly looks through the sights of a high-powered rifle...

I KNOW HOW TEMPTING IT IS…

At ConFusion, Hannah is lost in her own thoughts, tears on her cheeks, as she sips her drink. She looks up when she hears laughter from a nearby table and sees Ryan with Annie and Di.

When Ryan teases that if it had "wedding" in the title, Annie rented it, she reminds him that she has a huge event to plan. She has to prepare for any possible disaster. As they laugh together, Del comes up and angrily tells Di and Erin, “Hey! The guy who killed our sisters just got a free pass. You could at least pretend to care.” Di takes him aside and tells her brother that Alexander Cambias has taken enough away from them, and urges him not to let him ruin the rest of their lives. Del reluctantly agrees.

Tad tells Derek as much as he appreciates the sentiment, his face doesn’t exactly scream "Congratulations on your new baby, Thaddeus." Derek notes his friend doesn’t look like a vision of bliss, either, “Let's drink some more.” Tad agrees, and Derek raises his glass, “To small miracles named Jenny.” Jamie goes to the nursery and smiles down at the baby girl, “Hey, Jenny. Recognize your big brother?”

Tad tells Derek it’s been a slice, but he’s got a hot date with a real cutie he just met. Derek laughs and reminds Tad to email Dani and Livia a picture of the baby; they’ve been driving him crazy. Tad leaves, and Derek walks over to the table where Jonathan, Ryan, Annie, Del and Di are sitting. Hannah watches as Derek tells them he knows they had a bad day in court today, and none of them is happy about it, but he doesn’t want to see anyone taking matters into their own hands. Di insists he doesn’t have to worry about them; none of them is going to do anything stupid. Derek notes that evening the score with Cambias might not seem stupid to everyone here. Ryan agrees they hate what the guy pulled in court and want to see him punished, but it doesn’t mean that they’re going to do it themselves. Derek isn’t judging anyone. His daughter was one of Cambias' victims, so he knows how tempting it is, but vigilante justice won't put him in jail. Jonathan tells him to go on and say it—this whole lecture is directed at him! “You think I'm going to go after Alexander. It's not for anybody else here. Just for me.”

When Jonathan goes to the bar to order another pitcher of margaritas, Ryan follows him and asks if he’s okay? Jonathan wonders if he means is he plotting Cambias' murder? Ryan means he’s all wound up. They all are. Jonathan notes that he and Derek have their eyes on him right now. Do they think he’s going to snap and drag the told man down into a cave? What’s he going to do, cut his skull open to find his tumor? Ryan says he can’t tell him it hasn’t crossed is mind, because it has his. Jonathan agrees he’d like to wrap his hands around the old man's throat, “But you know why I'm not going to? Because I'm not that guy anymore.”

When Jonathan asks how her margarita is, Annie notes there’s no way his mind is on margaritas. Jonathan agrees, not a second ago, but now he’s all about the positive. So, is he wearing a tuxedo to this wedding? He needs to know… Can he use the word "booty" in the best man's speech? Di and Annie exclaim, “No!” Ryan finds Hannah at the bar and says he didn’t see this coming. Hannah sighs that Alexander is always three steps ahead of the game. But after all these years, she’s had this delusion of justice and revenge. Ryan thinks the best revenge would be to get on with their lives and just forget about him. Telling him to have a good night, Hannah leaves.

MEET AVA…

Jack and Aidan return to the Montgomery home as Erica is arriving. Erica tells Jack there has got to be some way to reverse this. Alexander Cambias is a vicious killer! Jack agrees, but unfortunately, they couldn't convince the judge that he was not insane. Erica tells him Kendall said that this insanity act was nothing but a joke, so why couldn't the judge see that? Jack thinks the judge did see it, but Cambias had every legal base covered. The judge's hands were tied.

Aidan is on the phone with Jonathan, assuring him he wants to find her as much as he does. He’s looked all over Pine Valley for her, and Ava's nowhere to be seen. She's probably left town already. Saying he’ll let him know, Aidan ends the call. Overhearing the conversation, Erica tells Jack that’s another reason she dropped by, this look-alike of Lily’s. She figured it out. Jack nods as she says it was Ava she saw in that hotel room at the Valley Inn, not Lily, but they could be twins. Aidan agrees, but in looks only. Ava is absolute trouble. They go into the house as Jack grimly tells Erica she could be anywhere. Lily comes out into the foyer and tells them she found her half-sister, “Meet Ava.”

Lily explains she was able to find that Ava was staying at the Valley Inn by implementing a simple theory of deduction, so she went up to her room and introduced herself. She solved the mystery, even though Aidan lied when he said he couldn’t find her. She was able to deduce that by the look on his face. When Aidan tells her he was trying to protect her, Ava says she told him she didn’t want to meet Lily. He just didn’t want her to feel like crap. Jack asks Ava what made her change her mind about wanting to get to know Lily, and Erica questions why she was pretending to be Lily when she saw her at the Valley Inn? Uncomfortable, Ava tells Lily not to take this personally, but she’s got to go. She doesn’t belong here. Lily insists she does, and implores her dad and Erica to tell her she doesn’t have to go. Jack is silent, and Erica thinks maybe it’s for the best. Lily protests that Ava is her family, and they always say that family's so important. Jack agrees it is, but she and Ava have only just met.
