All My Children Daily Recaps

From Karen Watkins, for About.com

Thursday, June 14, 2007

“Hey, morning,” Tad declares; he puts on an Irish accent and asks, “Would you like a cup of joe?” Back to his normal voice, he goes on, “No? No problem. It's just as well because I make lousy coffee. You know, it's funny. After our talk last night, I had a dream, you know? About my daughter, Kate. Actually, who am I kidding? It's the same dream I have every night. There's a knock at the door. I open it. She's standing there. She throws her arms around me and says ‘Daddy, I'm home’. And I know it's her because I can see Dixie in her eyes. And then I wake up, like every other morning, and I don't have my daughter back. I'm helpless. Powerless. Because I haven't got the slightest idea of how to make my dream come true.”

HE’S STILL ON HIS TRIP…

As Krystal brings in the newspaper, Colby kisses her goodbye, saying she needs to stop at home and check on her dad. She leaves, and Babe comes out with Little Adam. Asked if he misses his daddy, Little A says yes. Babe says he’s still on his trip, but she bets they’re going to hear from him soon. “How about we draw him that picture today, okay?”

J.R. and Amanda wake up; he groans as he stretches and says good morning, “At least, I think it's morning.” Amanda says they’re still here—she doesn’t know how much longer she can take this! Do they really think they can get away with this? J.R. doesn’t have an answer for that. Amanda sighs and asks if they’ll ever get out of here? Does he know that answer? J.R. says they have to, and kisses her.

Adam lies awake, tortured by the vision in his dream. When the phone rings, he snatches it up and hears the same voice, “Good morning, Chandler. Sleep well?” Adam asks, “Where's my son?” The man says they’ll get to that, “First, you pay up. 100 million wired to our account. You have 36 hours.” Adam exclaims he can't get that kind of money together in 36 hours! The man reminds him, “You're Adam Chandler. Make it happen. If you don't, your son is dead.”

THAT’S NOT GOOD…

As Julia calls out to Kathy that they need to leave, Jamie comes into the parlor with an empty snack bowl and cans from the night before; he tells her he’s sorry he fell asleep on the couch last night. Julia says no worries. She was wrecked after her shift, and went straight to bed. Jamie kisses her, saying this is good morning and have a great day. When she moves away, he asks what’s wrong? Julia clears her throat and tells him, “Jamie, we need to talk about us.” As he says that’s not good, Kathy comes in and says she’s ready. Saying they’ll talk later, Julia leaves.

A WHOLE NEW TWIST…

Erica calls Pam and asks, “No word yet from our million dollar man? All right. I've decided to go in a new direction for ‘The New Divorce’. Of course it's going to be as good as the other. Yes, it's going to grab ratings. It's a wonderful idea. It's a whole new twist. I want to give Jack hope.”

A WAKE-UP CALL…

Emma wakes Ryan and Annie by jumping on their bed as she exclaims, “Let's get Spike! Time for vacation!” Ryan agrees it is time for vacation, and Mommy and Daddy are very, very excited, too.

Zach greets Kendall, “Good morning, sleepyhead. How are you feeling?” She asks what he means? Zach says she woke up last night, thought she heard somebody crying. Ring a bell? Kendall sighs, “Oh. Right.” Zach asks who it was, and she says it was Greenlee. Zach warns, “You let her get to you, and she'll hurt you again.”

On the rooftop at Fusion, Greenlee again looks at her copy of the legal papers filed for full custody of Spike. “Last night was your wake-up call,” she declares and leaves the roof.
