Kendall credit’s Amanda with being the catalyst for the Fusion Day and Night campaign concept, and asked for the truth about why she was ditching ConFusion. Amanda already told her, ConFusion was great, but she didn’t want to manage a bar for the rest of her life. Kendall suggested maybe she came into some money. She was in on the whole kidnap plot, “How much did J.R. pay you to keep you from going to the feds?” All she could count on from J.R. was a trip to the hospital or the cemetery. If she found a way to drain J.R. of his cash, great! Wring him dry, sock it away, and then kiss him off! Amanda insisted she wasn’t leaving because she squeezed money out of J.R. This wasn’t enough anymore, and no one was going to walk in and drop some golden opportunity in her lap. Kendall told her she was wrong. Fusion needed more team players like her. So, if she wanted more challenges or a bigger arena, it was right upstairs. She was pleased when Amanda agreed to think about what she wanted, and they’d talk tomorrow. Before she left, Kendall urged, “As far as J.R. is concerned, just make like a rabbit.” When Amanda assured her there was no trouble in that department, Kendall said no, she meant run, “Run far away from him, quick like a bunny.”
A SPECIAL DAY…
At Jenny’s christening celebration on the beach, J.R. told Tad he’d told Adam the truth. Krystal told J.R. she knew about everything he did, and how much his little kidnapping scam cost Adam. J.R. went over to Babe and said to let him have it—she’d feel better! Babe hated the example he was setting for their son. He could have been killed, and she didn’t want Little A growing up without a father. Look what games did to them, and her mother and his father. He was ruining lives.
Opal held the baby and said her gorgeous peepers were just like her little baby Jenny’s were. Joe remembered that Jenny had a glow as bright as sunshine, and Joe explained this day was chosen because many years ago, on this very date, he officially became Tad’s father. He had never been prouder of anything than being his father, and he hoped their lovely granddaughter, Jenny, would bring Tad as much happiness as he had brought to them.
YOU WILL BE SORRY…
As they shot hoops, Aidan was taken aback when Del said Jonathan spent last night with Ava. Jonathan showed up, and Aidan asked if he didn’t warn him? Ava was trouble! Jonathan said he’d given her a second chance and got to know her. Aidan refused to do the same, and Jonathan wondered what happened that he wouldn’t give Ava a second chance. Aidan implied that he was going to hurt Lily; Di arrived and diffused the tension. Jonathan was pleased to hear that Ava would be Fusion’s new model. After Di left with Aidan, Del asked how was Ava? Was she kind of like the honeymoon he never got to have with Lily, or what? Jonathan coldly told him, “If you ever ask me another sick, stupid question about Lily or Ava, you will be sorry.”
SCRIPT APPROVAL…
At the yacht club, Barbara planted a camera in Jack and Erica’s room. Colby found Sean taking a break from litter duty and asked if he could come with her to the christening? He couldn’t, but they made a real date for the next day. Colby left for the ceremony, and Sean ducked out of sight when he saw his mother coming in. He listened as Barbara called Larry Longan, “You told me not to call unless I had some proof that Erica Kane was a fraud. Hold some airtime for your show tonight, darling, because I have got the most priceless, irrefutable proof, audio and video.”
Erica flatly refused to go along with the script Jack had fabricated for their reunion; they scrapped it when even he admitted it was a little extreme. After working out a compromise, Erica and Jackson agreed that even fighting was more fun now. They left, and Barbara let herself in with a stolen key; she retrieved the camera and smiled at the images she’d captured. Sean busted her calling Larry Longan; he tossed her phone in the water and took the memory card from the camera before suggesting his mother leave Pine Valley—no one wanted to see her face!
WHO ELSE?
Tad asked Jamie to be Jenny’s godfather; Krystal said, “And as for Jenny’s godmother, this really was a no-brainer.” Colby was stunned when Krystal said her name—who else? She delivered the baby, “Honey, if it weren’t for you, we might not even be having this celebration.” Colby beamed as she accepted the honor. Tad spoke about his late sister, Jenny’s namesake and guardian angel. Adam watched from the deck of the yacht club as the minister baptized the baby he once thought was his.
Babe admitted to J.R. that she was surprised about him and Amanda, and that she was worried about her friend. J.R. asked, “What’s going on with you and Jamie?” Babe shrugged he was helping her study for her G.E.D. “Well, he’s a nice guy,” J.R. replied. He got a call, and agreed he’d be there in a few minutes.
Adam was startled when Krystal came up and asked what he wanted—why couldn’t he tear himself away from Jenny’s christening? Adam admitted he was hoping to find a moment to talk to her alone, but couldn’t get the words out. Krystal noted maybe it was soon, or maybe too late. Call her when the cat gave him back his tongue. She left and Stuart came up; he told his brother he missed a perfect chance to tell Krystal he was sorry. Krystal watched as Adam wiped away tears and left, a broken man…
HOW DO YOU WANT IT?
J.R. put his arms around Amanda and asked, “What do you want?” She replied, “My money.” She didn’t need the other 4.5 million. Even if he got it back, Adam’s ransom money, keep it. She could get by on 500Gs. J.R. kissed her and asked how she wanted it? Amanda breathlessly said transferred to her account; both were obviously turned on by the transaction.
TO FAMILY…
Tad told Jamie this was Jenny’s day, but he couldn’t help but think of Kate. Jamie insisted they’d find Kate, and she’d have her day with them, too. Joe offered a toast, “To family.”
