Zach told Kendall he thought she should go. It was her first book, it would be good for Fusion, and it would be good for her to be away for a few days. Ryan thought it was 2004 and he was engaged to her, “And you should be as far away from that as possible.” Kendall thought considering what Ryan had been going through, he was dealing with it very well, in his own way. Zach called that problem, the way he was dealing with it, getting her on the Fusion rooftop to re-enact history. Kendall realized he was jealous and called it kind of sexy. After they made love, Zach said he wasn’t worried about Ryan. He was just one man. There were a million other guys he had to worry about with her, right? Kendall assured him there was nobody else. “No one. Always only you.” So, he didn’t ever have to worry about anybody in Chicago or anyplace else. After packing her bag, Kendall hoped when she came back, Ryan would remember that he was in love with Annie. Zach told her for the next 24 hours, just think of all the good stuff.

Ryan was embarrassed when he saw Annie in her bra and panties. She told him she was his wife, it was okay, but Ryan insisted it wasn’t. Annie found Ryan about to leave and said she knew he was uncomfortable there. Ryan sighed that he was uncomfortable everywhere right now, even in his own skin. He knew he was hurting her, and was so sorry. He knew she thought he’d wake up and remember her, but what if he didn’t? Annie said then she’d just have to make him fall in love with her all over again. As she kissed him, Ryan told her to stop. He could go with this really good feeling. They could have sex. God knew she was a very, very desirable woman but he couldn’t love her. He couldn’t fake that.

When Frankie noticed the picture of his parents was gone, Tad realized Jesse must have taken it.
As he sat on the bed of a hotel room, Jesse looked at the picture and sighed, “Oh, I love you. Angie, please forgive me for doing this to you. I love you so much. I'm so sorry.”
When Tad asked if she had any other pictures of Jesse before he died, Angie repeated, "’Before he died’?” What else would there be? Tad apologized, that didn’t come out right. Frankie looked at him intently as Angie said Jesse's been dead for 20 years, “Why would you be asking about a picture of him now, Tad?”
As he packed his bag, Jesse told himself if he really loved his family, he had to do this, get as far away from there as possible. He flashed back 20 years, the Pine Valley Bulletin with his picture on the front page and the headline screaming “Pine Valley Detective Dies of Gunshot Wound”. A man stood over him in the darkness, kicking him and warning if he didn’t stay dead, his wife and son would die.
Tad got a call from Jesse, who said he had to leave. He never saw him—got it? Frankie questioned Tad again—why was he asking about his dad? Was there a chance in Hell that what he saw was real?
I WANT EVERYTHING!
Aidan asked Greenlee what she wanted to do when she got out of there? She told him she wanted more of him, and more everything! They should travel, and when they came back, they should do that thing they talked about, open their own P.I. firm. Aidan didn’t remember talking about that, and guessed she was trying to scam him. Greenlee asked, “What we have is real, right? I mean, we've both been around the block a couple times before we met.” Aidan agreed, but that was all in the past. Greenlee asked, “And there's never been anyone else, I mean, since we've been together, right?” As Aidan said no, he flashed back to the night he and Kendall slept together.
Later, Greenlee asked, “So, did you ever get married again? I mean, after Jesse died?” Angie nodded, but nobody could be Jesse.
I THINK YOU KILLED HIM!
As Jesse was about to leave the room, he heard loud pounding on the door and a woman shouting, “Help me, please! Let me in, please!” He opened the door and the woman rushed in, trying to get away from a drunk and abusive boyfriend. The guy pulled a knife on Jesse, who was able to get it away from him and knock him to the floor. As he turned away to make a call, the man got up and hit him from behind with a fire extinguisher. As Jesse lay unconscious on the floor, the woman gasped, “Oh, my god. I think you killed him!”
ONE NIGHT IN CHICAGO – WHAT CAN HAPPEN?
Tad got a call and asked, “What do you got?” Learning that one guy was in Chicago and the other in Canada, he said not to do anything until they heard from him. He hung up and sighed, “Oh, Jesse. What have you got yourself mixed up in?”
Aidan asked, “Okay, you want me to just drop everything and go to Chicago?” Greenlee said if the guy was on death row, time was of the essence, right? She convinced him to go, and Aidan asked Tad what he was supposed to be getting from this guy? Tad said if he was lucky, something that was going to clear the good name of a client. Greenlee assured Aidan she’d be fine. “It's one night in Chicago, what can happen?”
WHAT ARE YOU DOING ON MY FLIGHT?
Kendall’s flight was delayed as they waited for one last passenger to make their way to the gate. Aidan, the passenger they’d been waiting for, took the seat next to Kendall and said he couldn’t believe it, “What are you doing on my flight?”
Annie went to the house to see Kendall, having forgotten she was going to Chicago for the book signing. Zach asked if she was all right, and Annie broke down in tears as she said no, she wasn’t all right.
Greenlee called Ryan and suggested he come and hang out; she was his friend, and didn’t care if he was a total mess. Ryan called that the best offer he’d had in four years.

The drunk took off, and the woman called for an ambulance, stopping to take Jesse’s wallet before she hurried away.
Angie listened to the EMT’s report on the incoming patient, an African-American male, John Doe, 40s, with a head injury.
