From Karen Watkins, for About.com

A VERY PRODUCTIVE MORNING…

Erica greets a group of men seated at the conference table and says she’s sure they’re all wondering why they’re here. When Val comes in carrying a covered silver serving dish, she thanks him and asks him to please show the gentlemen what he has. Val takes the cover off, and Erica asks, “Can anyone tell me what this is?” One of the men says it appears to be a large chunk of ice. She agrees, “Exactly. This, gentlemen, is ice, representing my considerable assets–my considerable assets. So you can imagine my shock when I tried to access my money to buy a home and found out that my funds have been frozen. How in the world did that happen?” Getting no response, she throws the ice on the table and orders, “Someone had better start talking—and I mean now.” After a moment of uncomfortable silence, Erica notes that no one has answered her question. Why aren't her funds available to her? Told they are available, she just can't get to them right now, Erica declares that makes no sense. A second man says they’re facing a routine investigation; a third nods, “By the federal government.” Erica tells them nothing about that sounds routine to her, and they all assured her that everything was under control. Another man shrugs, “Well, it was, and then it wasn’t.” Erica exclaims that she feels like she has fallen down the rabbit hole! Not one of them is making a bit of sense at all. Are her funds frozen? The men reluctantly reply, “Yes.” Erica asks if anyone here can tell her how to fix that? The men exchange glances, and Erica asks, “No? All right, gentlemen. Do you know what this is? This is you getting fired.” They all says no, wait, but she tells them that’s right, don’t let the door hit them on the way out! She stands as the five men file out.

Val comes in and asks where everybody went? Erica replies, “Fired.” She needs him to contact that Mr. Eaton at the firm that Adam Chandler recommended. Val tells her he was out of the country, but he will see if he’s back. He leaves the conference room, and Erica calls Jack. She leaves a message that she has had a very productive morning—she fired all her money people, “Good riddance.” She knows that he’s busy, but could he possibly find out anything more about that S.E.C. investigation? Oh, and she has something for him. She knows they said that they weren't going to do this, but she did get him a little Valentine's Day present, just for old times' sake, “Call me.” Pam comes in and says she’ll never guess who agreed to be on the show, “Samuel Woods, Erica Kane.” Samuel shakes her hand, “Erica Kane. I’ve waited a long time for this.” Erica replies, “It's so nice to meet you, Mr. Woods.” He tells her to call him Samuel, and Pam explains that Mr. Woods was able to rearrange his schedule to be here for an interview. Samuel agrees he was here in town handling some business, and he thought about her flattering offer, and he thought, why not? That is, if her offer still stands. Erica says of course, but that depends on when they can do the interview. “How about now?” he suggests. Erica tells him she’s sorry, but they’ve already finished taping for the day. Pam starts to say they could do… Erica cuts her off and says she doesn’t have any plans for this evening. Samuel calls that a shame, because now he’s completely booked up. Erica calls that a shame. She thinks it would have been fun. She has never interviewed a true "man of the people”. She laughs when he says he thinks she just flattered him, quite sure he’s used to that. Samuel shakes her hand again, “Well, until next time.” Erica agrees, till next time, and he leaves. “What did you just do?” Pam demands. Erica smiles as she says he’ll be back. She counts, “Five, four, three, two…” The elevator door opens, and she asks, “Samuel—did you forget something?” Samuel tells her he thought about it, and he can rearrange a few things. Later on today will be an absolutely perfect time to do the interview. Erica says Pamela seems to think that they can make this work, and Pam eagerly agrees she can. Erica shrugs, “Well, then I guess we should do it.” Samuel suggests, “Let's have some fun.”

WHAT COULD I POSSIBLY SAY AFTER 20 YEARS?

Jesse tosses and turns on the mattress in Tad’s basement, sleeping fitfully and flashing back 20 years in his dream. We see him bound in a chair, badly beaten; he imagines someone threatening Angie, her terrified cries for help, and his shouting, “No! Let her go! Let her go!” He wakes with a start and tries to shake off the tortured dream; he vows, “Oh, Angie. I will never let them get their hands on you, never, never.”

Jesse tells himself to get it together! As he puts his boots on, Tad comes downstairs with a tray of food. Jesse asks how Angie is, and Tad questions, “Other than thinking she saw the love of her life, a man that's supposed to have been dead for 20 years?” She’s fine. He just talked to his dad, and she’s sound asleep. Maybe they gave her something, he doesn’t know. She thinks he was a hallucination brought on by stress or maybe hypoglycemia. Jesse thanks God she’s okay, and thanks Tad. He starts gathering his things, and Tad asks what he thinks he’s doing? Sit and eat something. Jesse insists it’s not safe with him being here—it’s not safe for Angie or Frankie, or Tad and his family! Tad notes he’s not as defenseless as he looks. He’s practically family…he is his family, “Why don't you let me do something for you? Don't you think you owe me a couple of answers at this point?” Jesse insists the more he digs around for answers, the better their chances are for finding out the truth. Asked who “they” are, Jesse says they are very bad people. When Tad asks what kind of bad people, Jesse shouts, “Would you stop!” He lowers his voice and says he’s sorry, just, please… He’s really got to go. Tad knows. He tried asking some questions about the girl that stole his wallet but he wasn't able to figure out anything on such short notice. He holds out a duffel bag as he says he did put this together. It's just some clothes and some money. Jesse protests he can’t take this from him, but Tad insists he can and he will.
