When Tad looked for the files on Jesse’s case, Krystal thought Jesse told him to leave it alone, so what was he going to do? Tad said he was going to find out exactly what happened, because that's exactly what Jesse would do, even if he told him not to. Frankie came to the door and said he was calling the cops—his mom was missing! Tad convinced him to let him make some calls, see what he could find out first. He left, and Krystal said she told Angie to take the train. Maybe Angie and Jesse got together. Tad nodded, “Or maybe whoever the bad guys are, they found her first.” Krystal said if she was right and Angie and Jesse were together, where would they be? Tad remembered a cabin in the middle of nowhere they used to go to; if he could find a map that was old enough, he might be able to find it that way.
I’VE BEEN RUNNING FOR 20 YEARS…
Angie pleaded with Jesse to tell her everything—he owed her that much! Jesse said he remembered getting shot, and her at the hospital crying. He remembered all of that, and then he blacked out; he didn’t even know for how long. They told him it was all a setup, that they needed it to look like he was dead, but he didn’t know who they were. When he came to, he was in this dark room. They told him everything that happened, and said that if he told them what they needed to know, they would let him go, but he didn't believe them. Angie asked what these people wanted? Jesse told her they never said. They acted as if he was holding out on them, that he knew something important and wasn't giving it up, but they still didn’t tell him what they wanted. He went crazy on all of them. He grabbed this guy, started choking him to death. Next thing he knew, he was waking up in this field somewhere, on the ground, laying next to this guy digging a hole. He somehow broke free of the ropes, grabbed him and was able to somehow turn the gun on him and bury him in his own grave. “They needed to believe that they killed me, Angie. And I needed to make them believe that I was dead. I've been running for 20 years.” His instincts told him that these people were still out there. And if they found out that he was alive, they would come for her and Frankie, “That's why I can't stay here.” Angie said she was going to have to make some arrangements, “Wherever you're going, Jesse, I'm going. And don't even try to stop me.”

When Greenlee arrived at Fusion with copies of all the tabloid stories about Erica, Babe wondered if they should call Kendall to give her a heads-up on the media blitz? Greenlee said no, she didn’t want to bother her, “She needs a stress-free day. Spike's getting his cochlear implants turned on today.” They talked about the dresses at the fashion show, and how their men had removed those dresses later. Greenlee wondered, “Do you think there's sex in Heaven?” Aidan came in with a picnic basket; he and Greenlee took it to the roof, and he shared a memory of childhood picnics with his auntie. As they drank champagne and got frisky, Greenlee got a call from Derek, who wanted to talk to her about the bones she and Zach found in the bomb shelter.
PURE HAPPINESS…
Ryan showed up as Zach and Kendall were waiting for the audiologist; he said he wasn’t there to cause any problems, he just wanted to be there for Spike when they turned on the implant. Asked about Annie, Ryan told them she kicked him out last night. As Zach wondered if she was all right, Annie arrived and said she was just fine. She didn’t miss Spike’s big moment, did she?
The audiologist arrived and explained what was going to happen. After the implant was turned on, she moved behind Spike and clapped her hands; Spike immediately turned at the sound. Kendall, Zach, Ryan and Annie were overjoyed that he heard it. Kendall thanked Annie for the musical toys she’d brought, and told Ryan she never thought she’d see this day. The Christmas before last, he and Zach put together this train set for Spike, and he sat and watched him play with it for hours and hours, “And he had the same look on his face then that he has right now. Pure happiness.”
Annie told Ryan they needed to talk about Emma. This must be a nightmare for him right now, but she had to protect herself and she had to protect their daughter.
Ryan looked across the room at Zach playing with Spike and asked, “He's a really good father, isn't he?” Kendall agreed, the best. Ryan told her he was happy for her, and left. Kendall and Zach planned a play date of their own while the boys were napping. Their plans changed when Derek called; Kendall agreed they’d be right there.
Ryan went to Kendall’s old condo and remembered asking her to marry him.
YOU CAN’T EVER LEAVE ME AGAIN…
Jesse insisted she couldn’t come with him—he would not put her through this! Angie asked if he didn’t get it? She’d spent 20 years mourning the love of her life, thinking he was gone forever. He thought somebody was chasing him? Well, he was right, “Because you are looking at her!” She would hunt him down and find him, “You can't leave me ever again.” They heard something, and Jesse said someone was outside. When Tad came in, Jesse asked what the hell he was thinking? They heard footsteps outside; Tad took out a gun and went to the door as he told them, “Shh.”
THE BONES…
Kendall and Zach arrived at Fusion, and Greenlee explained the police wanted to talk about Sticks McGee. Zach nodded, “The bones.” Asked about the body in the shelter, Derek said they found out who he was and how he died, “He was murdered.”
HELLO, SON…
Tad went outside and put the gun away when he saw Frankie, who had followed them. Frankie was relieved to see Angie, who said he had been living too many lies. She told Frankie to be brave, and called, “Jesse? Come on out and see your son.” Frankie looked at him in disbelief as Jesse told him, “Hello, son.”
