I’LL MISS YOU, TOO…

As a stunned silence falls over the courtroom, Greenlee asks Kendall to tell her she’s hearing things. Did Erica just say she wants to go to prison right away? Zach agrees that’s what she said, and wonders what she’s up to. Judge Winnick asks Erica if this is her final decision, to start her six-month sentence today? Jack stands and asks for a word with his client, but Erica tells His Honor that he heard her correctly. She would like to start serving her time immediately. It’s not necessary to discuss the matter with counsel first; she knows that s he’s doing. Kendall exclaims, “No! Mother, please don’t do this.” Why is she doing this? The judge said she could start her sentence in three weeks! Erica insists it is so much better this way. Kendall exclaims it isn’t for her! She doesn’t want her to go to prison at all, but going this soon is too much, too fast.

Aidan comes in and asks Greenlee if he’s getting this right—Erica wants to go directly to prison from here? Greenlee says yes; she and Aidan agree it’s got to be killing Kendall.

Kendall reminds Erica that Bianca wanted to fly in, but Erica repeats that wasn’t necessary. Josh urges her to take a minute to think about this, please. Erica insists this is why she didn’t need to take a minute. She doesn’t want them to descend on her—please don’t worry so much! Zach tells Kendall this is what her mother wants, so they should leave her alone. Kendall confronts Samuel Woods and asks if he feels better now? Has justice been served? Now the streets of Pine Valley are a lot safer now that he’s locked up big, bad Erica Kane? She’s a menace to society, right? As the judge calls for order in the court, Josh leads Kendall away, saying she doesn’t want to get in trouble, too. Zach tells Kendall that her mother has thought this through, and it will be okay.

When Jack returns to her side, Erica guesses he’s furious at her. Jack tells her he’s surprised, but not angry. He knew what he was in for when he signed on to represent her. He knows she’s not deliberately trying to upset anyone, but thinks they’re all being a little selfish, “We don’t want you to go.” Erica tells him, “I’ll miss you, too.”

Court is adjourned, and reporters swarm through the door. The main question is how she will get through spending six months behind bars without losing her mind? Erica tells them just like everybody else does, just one day at a time. Greenlee watches and tells Aidan that Erica pretends it’s such torture, but she lives for this stuff. “Why does she always have to drag my dad into her drama?” Aidan notes that she didn’t drag him in, Jack wanted to defend her, but Greenlee says he’s always left high and dry in the end, “I wish he would just move on with his life, get rid of her once and for all.” She walks away, and Zach comes over to Aidan, who asks if Kendall is okay? Zach thinks it just took her by surprise, and Aidan says he just can’t believe that Erica has volunteered to go straight to prison from here. He tells him he spoke to Ryan today; it was an interesting conversation. As the reporters shout questions at Erica, Zach suggests they go outside and talk about it.

When a reporter asks if he thinks Ms. Kane was unfairly judged because of her celebrity, Jack suggests they ask Mr. Woods that. They do so, and Samuel tells them it’s like he said all along, no matter how famous you are or how rich you are, or how many avid supporters you have, no one should be above the law.

Kendall gets Erica a glass of water and asks what she can do? Erica says Josh and Zach are going to oversee her business affairs, and Jack is going to oversee all her legal papers. Kendall feels there must be something she can do; Erica says nothing, just take care of her boys and Zach. And, if Zach and Aidan are having private conversations, don’t dismiss it. Kendall knows she’s worried about what happened with her and Aidan, but she doesn’t have to be. It’s under control. Erica asks, “Okay, so the only thing I have to worry about is Ryan?” Kendall doesn’t want her to worry about anything but taking care of herself. Erica says they’re going to take her away in a minute, so this would be a good time to get it all out and tell her the truth about what else happened between her and Ryan in Los Angeles. She doesn’t have to give her the details, but don’t keep any secrets form her husband. Kendall tells her Zach was upset enough to find out that Ryan flew to L.A. to see her. If he knew anything else, he would probably go ballistic. Erica thinks he has good reason. Who knows what Ryan might do next?

I DON’T FEEL SORRY ABOUT ANYTHING I DID…

When Annie comes into his room, Richie asks if she finally stopped by to see the medical miracle? Annie says he looks much better, but Richie tells her she looks like hell. How is that possible? He’s the one that almost died. Annie isn’t going to play games with him. If he doesn’t want her here, she’d be happy to leave. Richie asks if he can at least get his ultra-personal get well card? Annie hands him an envelope, and Richie reads the card. Saying he’s going to put it right here with his collection, Richie puts it on the empty bedside table. He asks where her husband is, and Annie doesn’t reply. Richie asks if he’s still stuck in 2004 saying “Annie Who”? Why did she even come here? Annie tells him she came to see if he was okay, and tell him she hopes he takes this new lease on life and does something good for a change. Richie thanks her, but he’s had a considerable amount of time to think about what he wants to do with his life, and he doesn’t need a lesson from her. Annie says okay, so don’t take it from her, take it from Babe. Richie tells her not to talk about Babe, but Annie asks why not? He listens to her, so why doesn’t he change for Babe? Why doesn’t he become a better man for Babe? Richie wonders why she’s so concerned with him becoming a better man? Is it because she’s afraid of him? Because her husband no longer knows who she is and he can’t protect her?
