Tad asks Adam if he gets it now? Does he understand? They can’t call anybody. Even if they did call Derek, they can’t be sure they wouldn’t know about it before it would do any good. For now, they just follow instructions. Adam says from the kidnappers? He won’t call any authorities. He will do exactly as they say. What are the instructions? Please tell him, what have they done to Colby? Tad says they’re going to get a phone call soon. They will tell Jesse when and where they want to meet, and they will tell him that they want to meet alone. Adam asks Jesse if he’s going to give himself up and they’ll let Colby go? Jesse nods, they’ll let Colby and Frankie go. Tad insists he is not going to give himself up, and he is not going in alone, because he’s going with him. Jesse repeats he wants him alone, and that’s the way it’s going to be! Tad says okay, he shows up alone, but he shows up with a shadow. “With two shadows,” Adam insists. She’s his daughter! Tad says okay. He tells Jesse that he and Adam will go after the kids, “You deal with the son of a bitch who took them.” He can’t handle it all. He needs somebody to get the kids out. He and Adam can do that. Jesse says he’s never trusted Adam Chandler. Tad doesn’t either, but if somebody’s threatening Colby, he doesn’t mind having Adam at his back. “And when it comes to Frankie?” Jesse demands. Tad says he can trust him; he’ll watch Adam. Adam starts to speak, but Tad tells him it’s a fact—deal with it! If he wants her back, do it their way. Jesse starts to say something, but Tad tells him he doesn’t want to get shot either. His phone rings, and Tad says it’s him. He answers, and hears Robert’s distorted voice, “I hope you don’t mind that I called a little early, Mr. Martin. I’m just anxious to get started.” Tad agrees, so is Jesse. Robert tells him to give the phone to his friend. Tad does, and Jesse demands, “Where are we meeting?” Robert says there’s a private airstrip at the edge of town; it has a hangar and a couple of planes. Jesse agrees he knows it. Robert tells him to be there in half an hour, don’t bring any weapons, “And remember, come alone.” Jesse hangs up and tells Tad it’s Winship Airstrip, half-hour, “Lock and load, compadre.” Tad goes to the gun safe and Jesse tells him, “I can’t be armed, they’ll pat me down.” He hands Adam a gun and asks if he knows how to use one of these? “Yes, I do,” Adam replies.

“Why don’t you just go?” Adam demands. Jesse tells him he said a half-hour, and Tad says Jesse can’t afford any surprises like showing up early. Adam sighs that he just wants to get to Colby. Tad agrees they all do, but she’s got Frankie, and he’ll do what he can for her. Adam asks how he knows that? “My son is a soldier,” Jesse tells him. He survived Iraq. He’ll survive this, and he will protect his daughter.

Jesse gets ready to leave, and tells Tad they’re going to be watching, so don’t follow him right away. Give him a 15-minute lead. He wants him to come into the strip on foot, through the woods. And, stay on top of Chandler for him, will he? Adam declares he doesn’t need to be monitored. Tad walks Jesse out and tells him to be calm, be careful. Jesse touches his friend’s shoulder and nods, “You, too.”

MY NECKLACE…

Angie and Krystal arrive at Mrs. Remington’s house and knock on the door, but get no response. Krystal says there are no lights on. She’s either sleeping or gone. Angie sees that her car is in the driveway. She knocks again, and Krystal tries the doorknob. Angie is concerned that it’s unlocked; Krystal sees that it looks like somebody busted the lock, “I’m getting a bad feeling.” They go in, and Krystal stumbles over something when she moves to find a light. She turns on a lamp, and both gasp at the sight of things in disarray, the house obviously ransacked, and Mrs. Remington lying on the floor. Angie rushes to her and says it’s okay, she’s going to help her. Can she tell her where it hurts? Mrs. Remington gasps that she can’t breathe—it feels like something's sitting on her chest. Angie tells Krystal to call 911. Tell them they have a 60-plus woman complaining of chest pains and shortness of breath. She turns back to the woman and asks if it hurts anywhere else? Mrs. Remington says her left arm, and weakly shakes her head when Angie asks if she has medication for her heart or blood pressure. She puts a pillow under her head and tells her to stay calm, take nice slow breaths. Mrs. Remington puts a hand to her throat, “My necklace…” Angie asks if she means the one her son gave her? What happened to it? Mrs. Remington only whimpers, and Angie tries to calm her. Krystal says the ambulance is on the way, and Angie tells Mrs. Remington not to worry, they’ll find her necklace. The older woman gasps and closes her eyes. Angie says there’s no pulse. She asks Krystal if she knows CPR? Krystal says yes, and they work together to try to save Mrs. Remington.

RIGHT ON TIME…

As Robert holds Mrs. Remington’s necklace and looks at it, Rafael tells him the old lady really didn't want to give that up. Robert shrugs that she won’t miss it, “Why does everybody always have to put up a fight, huh?” Rafael tells him it’s a waste of energy, “Since you always win anyway.”

When Adam says it’s time, Tad tells him they have five minutes left. Adam argues that by the time they get to the car, the five minutes will be up. Tad quietly tells him Jesse Hubbard asked him for 15 minutes, he's going to get 15 minutes. Just try to take it easy. Adam asks how he can take it easy when those lowlifes have his daughter? If they so much as lay a finger on her… Tad warns that Colby needs him calm. He cannot afford to let his mind go there. Adam angrily asks how he could let this happen? He knew things were dire when he suggested that Krystal come live under his roof for safekeeping. Yeah, that's so far past his usual screw-ups. They could've gotten Krystal, too, “And you call yourself her husband.”
