MAGIC IS STILL THERE…

Angie and Jesse reminisced about their past, how Jenny had covered for her the night they spent on the beach, and Angie sighed they had lost so much, people and time, “Promise we’ll never lose another thing.” Jesse promised to make everything up to her that they missed. Angie noted it would take the rest of his life, so he’d better live a long, long time, “Or else I’ll kill you.” They laughed together, and Jesse told Angie about the job offer from Samuel Woods; before he could say that he’d turned it down, Angie exclaimed that he was not going back into law enforcement! Jesse assured her that after 20 years running, no more cops and robbers for him.

As they unpacked boxes in their new home, the nightgown Angie had worn on their first night together brought back memories of their marriage and the daffodils he had picked for her the night they ran off to a justice of the peace. Jesse left, promising not to be long, and returned with a bouquet of yellow daffodils. He said the magic was still there between them, and it always would be. He told her to get dressed, they were going out. Trust him, “If you liked the daffodils, this’ll knock your socks off. Come on.”

POOR, BROKEN LITTLE RYAN…

Zach held Kendall and insisted her mom was going to be fine, but he knew she was worrying about Ryan. They argued about it again, and Zach suggested, “Why don't you spend your time worrying about poor, broken little Ryan. I'll spend mine trying to help your mom, okay?” He called to check on the status of his men’s search for Erica, while Kendall called and left a message for Ryan to call her; she wanted him to know people loved him because he was a good and decent man. Kendall again called Zach cruel for showing Ryan the video—it was too much all at once and he deserved more compassion! Zach said that was where they differed, “I prefer the truth, no matter how cruel it is. Just tell me, right to my face. But then, that’s me.”

NOT ON THE SAME PAGE, OBVIOUSLY…

Aidan hoped Greenlee wasn’t going to answer the call from Ryan while he was in the middle of this—in case she missed it, he was about to propose! When he asked her to marry him, Greenlee repeated, “Marry you? And ruin what we have?” Aidan realized, “You’re turning me down.” Greenlee said she just became who she was. She was someone else before, someone hopelessly hooked on a former husband. The word “husband” gave her the creeps! Aidan called it obvious they weren’t on the same page, and he’d made a serious mistake. Greenlee asked why it had to be serious? Why couldn’t they just lighten up? He finished packing things up and she asked if that was it? The party's over? Aidan agreed, “It is for me, yeah.” Saying he needed a time-out, he left the beach. Greenlee listened to Ryan’s message that she shouldn’t worry, he was just taking some time and some breathing space, “Let Aidan make you happy, okay? Let him give you what you deserve.”

PEACE IS A GOOD THING…

Back home once again, Krystal said things were back to normal; peace was a good thing. Tad wondered if she didn’t miss the unpeaceful life with Adam Chandler a little bit? She told him she felt empathy for Adam because he had been so worried about his children, but her love for Adam was gone, without even a fleck of nostalgia. Tad said he may not like the fact that she occasionally felt sorry for Adam, but that didn’t mean he didn’t thank God for her every single day. Later, Krystal planned a get-together. She told Tad it wasn’t for Jenny when he assumed she meant it for their daughter’s first birthday.

DEFIANT AND RELENTLESS…

As the Slaters agreed to leave the subject of Ryan alone for a moment, Greenlee showed up and told Zach she could strangle him with her bare hands! How could he show Ryan that hideous video? Zach wondered, “So you agree it was hideous when he tried to hit you in the face?” Greenlee told him he was going through a hard time. He deliberately kicked Ryan when he was down! Zach asked when Ryan had ever been down? He was defiant and relentless, “He ignores his wife and goes after mine.” Greenlee accused him of wanting to hurt Ryan, so he ripped him to shreds, “But when you ripped into him, you ripped into me. You just don't care.” Zach insisted he never wanted to hurt her, and suggested she go home, see Aidan. When Greenlee lashed out at him again, Zach claimed to have remembered a business meeting and left. Kendall was stunned to hear that Greenlee had turned down Aidan’s proposal but knew it wasn’t about marriage, it was about Ryan—she couldn’t let go. Greenlee insisted she’d let go when she found him and helped him through this. She was absolutely sure she could do it.

A FAITHFUL BLOKE…

At ConFusion, Zach found Aidan getting drunk and staring at the engagement ring. Told he had plans for it but they didn’t work out, Zach said Greenlee wasn’t being herself. He urged Aidan not to give up on her, and Aidan called it Ryan fever. When Zach said it would pass, Aidan asked, “How would you know?” Zach wanted to drive him home, but Aidan didn’t want to go home; he didn’t even know where home was, but he’d figure it out before he left. Zach quietly asked Amanda, “Don't let him drive, please.” She told him not to worry, it was covered. Zach returned to Aidan and told him to keep the faith. Aidan said not to worry, he was a faithful bloke. After Zach left, Aidan called Annie, “How about I come over to your place and we have a little bit of fun?”

PLEASE THINK ABOUT THIS!

Greenlee insisted she had to find Ryan to put the past in perspective, help him shed some of the guilt, make him understand that he always was and always would be special; then she’d go home to Aidan. Kendall warned her not to do this, don’t test Aidan. He could only take so much. She was begging her—don’t ruin her life! Greenlee said everything was going to be fine, for her, for Ryan, and for Aidan. She left and Kendall called after her to please think about this!
